oh dang it! I forgot I hadn't watched the last 1/2 hour of Top Design and just spoiled myself! I was worried at Todd's walkthrough though that it might be Nathan.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I thought Preston looked upset in some of the interviews, so wondered if he was out, but I think he was actually just upset talking about his father's death. That explains why he's not interested in drunken antics, beyond just not wanting to play Eddie's bitchy games....
I felt for Preston, I really did. He seems like someone who really needs a hug.
I recognize what a sacrifice I would be making, but I'm more than willing to be the hug provider he needs.
So, Sugar - I'm now leaning more towards "playing dumb" than "thinks she's playing dumb but also actually is." Getting rid of Ace was a smart move.
Yeah, she redeemed herself from the insane stupidity exhibited last week.
I am watching Top Chef reruns, whee! I can't wait till the new season.
I watched Top Design yesterday. I am so glad that Eddie is out. Ondine really outdid herself and I think that Preston did his usual amazing job. I was worried that they'd prefer Eddie's consistency to Nathan's occasional brilliance but I'm so glad that Nathan got through.
Eddie is just BORING as a designer. I don't care if the rooms are good and useful: isn't that good designer, not Top Designer?
I just really didn't like Eddie as a person. I'm sure that he got the bitch edit, but the bitch edit only works if there's a lot of bitchiness. He was really supportive of Andrea (who I loathed), but he would talk behind people's backs, or say something was great and then roll his eyes when the person turned around. That kind of thing happened too often for it to be just the edit.
Right AND he was less than creative with his design. Perhaps if he directed more energy to his work and less to being bitchy about other people. . .
I love Jeff Lewis as a judge. I hope he's in for finale part II.
Eddie is, I think, a stylist at heart. He likes to shop. And he's got Martha's style down pat, but what I (think I) saw of Eddie Ross's designs was pretty old lady, as the judges kept pointing out.
He seemed to get the bitch edit more and more often as the show went on, but like Vortex, I think that's because he gave them more and more to work with.
Interesting -- this week's Guide to Style has a woman with a metric shitload of clothes, and some of them are good, but a lot of them need tailoring.
