Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
My birthday!
In fact, that's the first challenge: Bake Jessica a cake!
In fact, that's the first challenge: Bake Jessica a cake!
AWESOME
That would be awesome.
Plus - it's in NYC so totally possible.
Sadly, if that WAS the first challenge, the cake would be mighty stale by the time the premier airs, unless they've solved that pesky time-travel problem.
So, the DH is away at Track Day [link] driving cars with all kinds of automotive journalists. Yesterday he hung out with the USian producer of the new Top Gear, who used to produce Mythbusters. The guy said MB was really fun to work on and that the best part was that everyone onscreen is exactly as they are offscreen. They work hard on things and joke around when the camera is on and they work hard on things and joke around when the camera is off. They all get along, they all love tinkering with stuff and it's a very happy crew. When the DH said he had a huge crush on Kari, the guy said, "Oh, we all do."
Futoncritic says that Sciffy is going to have a "Ghosthunters: College Edition."
Nothing on Survivor? I just want to say that Krystal is the most-unfit ex-olympian I have EVER seen. I mean, crying because you lost--more like crying because you SUCK and you can't even run, which is what you were supoosed to have trained for!
I always forget to talk about Survivor in here!
Scrappy, with you 100% on Krystal. Part of me wants to make excuses for her because I'm sure when she was training for the Olympics she was eating more than a cup of rice a day, but SHE KEEPS SUCKING. And then snapping at people when they notice.
Seriously. I don't get her at all. Jeff was totally trying to bait her at TC - would have been interesting to see the reactions if she'd let it slip.
That tribe in general is the most giving-uppiest I've ever seen. I seriously don't get it.
I'll be glad when they get to a merge. Does this point in the season always get so sucky and one-sided? A few good breaks early on can mean one team is so much better fed and rested than the other that it just seems to snowball. At least once they get to a merge people are living in more or less the same conditions, even if some of them come in weaker to start.
