And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

From today's NYTimes article about what New Yorkers are looking forward to this fall:

My favorite thing in the fall is ice skating in the park. Central Park is the best because they also have the best hot dogs. So good! I have this friend who was born and raised in New York City and it’s our thing that we do every year. It’s so much fun. And everyone is from all over. Total New Yorkers, and Europeans, and nobody can ice skate. It’s fabulous. But I’m really good. They call me Tonya Harding.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I do not think this has been covered - on ANTM, Any ideas why we are not getting "My life as a covergirl" with last cycle's winner - what's-her-face? Is she locked away in rehab somewhere or what? Not that I mind getting to catch up with more past participants via the commercials, just wondering about the break in pattern.

We have been. They are, as usual, super cheesy and um..I can't think of her name either...never shuts her freaking mouth!

Yes! There have been my life as a Covergirl ads showing her riding around town in a double-decker bus w/ her mom and sister and baking cupcakes or something?

Whitney? the "plus-size" model?

what, is she a size 2 instead of a 0?

No, she models plus size clothing. They were giving her shit throughout the competition for losing weight because there is NO market for the in-between models (the size 10-12s basically). It's all crazy. of course.

I put "plus-size" in quotes because, seemingly, she put on weight to be on the show as a "plus-size" and then, when she won, Tyra was calling her curvy or something. (And sizes are crazy - I saw one catalog that was classifying XL as a 12.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Plus-size" models officially start at size 16, IIRC. So if you're size 4-14 aka THE SIZE OF MOST WOMEN, you can't haz modeling career.
