I thought Korto did win one challenge, didn't she? I used to think she was going to combust with all the not winning, but I think she just kinda has stank face without actually being/feeling stanky.

I liked it, but it wasn't avant garde, I think. But what the hell do I know?

Agreed that Joe's look wasn't really avant garde. However, it was a beautiful dress. Tim's take was interesting. Seems that Daniel was in the driver's seat, which makes more sense. Now I can go on disliking Joe.

Art Crawl!!!

Perhaps alot of this show will be featured in the reunion because this:

And I'll just add that this challenge could have been a two-hour show, because there was so much drama and intrigue demonstrated in the workroom, at the Rose Center, and on the runway. I never cease to stand in awe of the brilliance and deftness of the show's editors!

from Tim's blog - intrigues me.

Art Crawl!!!

Also from Tim's blog:

Suede is teamed with Jerry, and Jerry's arrogance and Suede's disdain for him were palpable throughout the challenge. Although you do not see this in the show, when I made one of my rounds, they had placed a yoke across the shoulders of their design and were going to hang fabric scales from it to represent Libra. Huh? I admit that I may have protested a bit too much (remember Carol Burnett's curtain-rod dress in the "Gone with the Wind" episode?), and then Jerry sold me out on the runway saying that he (not they) should never have listed to me. In any case, what was up with this navy palazzo pants suit? Huh? Isn't there a happy medium between a basic pajama pant and a Vegas float? Come on, guys, you couldn't figure this out?

Is it wrong that I wish that they'd kept the scale in - how amusing would THAT have been on the runway?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

It struck me last night that there were very few signs represented among the designers. If I’m not mistaken, no Gemini (which could have been awesome), Virgo, Pisces, or (I think) Capricorn. Lots of Libras and Scorpios (which are such opposites in my mind).

And Sagitarians. Represent!

Hah, yeah I (Virgo) texted my best friend (Gemini) about that when they'd gone through everyone. We determined it to be BULLSHIT!

Scorpios - we're so CREATIVE.

And you know, moody.

Also, love to wear lots of BLACK - thus explaining the numberes of creative artsy types who wear black because black and maroon are our colors.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I would have loved to see a mer-goat outfit! Capricorn, baby!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha! It's a good thing there weren't any Virgos. I'd hate to see what this crop thought was a good avant garde interpretation of Virgo.

I got irritated because my Tivo goofed up so I just now saw this ep. I spoiled myself for it and I'm glad, or I would have been startled.

All the ditched designers looked so dour. I don't think any of them were happy to be there. It looked like it was We Own Your Soul Day for Bravo, with all the designers dragged back, old and new.

I saw the design of the venue and I thought the models were going to be posing in those glass boxes. Which would have been cool. I didn't really like that the former contestants were judging based mostly on cocktail party chat. I know the models did walk, but it seems like a strange way to get a first impression of an outfit like that.

What else?

Oh, I'm watching bits and pieces of Tabatha's Salon Takeover and to my surprise, I love it. But she's less effective than Gordon Ramsay, I think because they don't respect her. Anyway, my only other comment on that is that I love her personal aesthetic. She wears all this black, but she wears fabulous black, with interesting silhouettes and textures.

...I don't watch the show, and I'm only skimming what you guys say, but as a Virgo, I'm suddenly afraid. Very afraid. Except, apparently, relieved.

Just watched Top Model, and the photo shoot looked pretty cool, except I always feel kinda bad when there's a shoot and several girls are obviously kicking ass, because it makes me feel really bad for the few girls who just Don't Get It. That said, I love Elina, and am very scared for the Makeover Episode now. Don't ruin her, evil Tyra!! Don't ruin the French girl either!! Or shiny fake-Michelle Trachtenburg's hair. But do fix crazy UFC girl's hair. And that Clark girl. She needs help.
