Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes, PR is filmed ahead of schedule so I'm sure that this fashion week is the one where they're filming the finale.

Yeah, but usually they are down to 4 (or whatever) contestants on the aired show by the time they film the finale. I am concerned about spoilers!

It would save them the trouble of having the runners-up put together foiler runway shows.

I imagine there's some aspect of foiling during the break, too -- I read somewhere recently that one of the designers (and now I can't even remember who) had been buying a lot of fabric back in their hometown since the filming of the season.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmm. Maybe we're not getting the finale until Spring? And it's Fashion Week in Feb 09 that these contestants will take part in.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

wow. Blayne really needs to go home. Period.

Kors talking shit about Suede was awesome.

Because books.

Wow. That was really unexpected. (The second auf on PR.) Blayne, not so much.

I was surprised!

On Top Model, seeing Whitney's family on My Life as a Covergirl made me re-think the whole "she gained weight to compete as plus size so Tyra could make her win" thing, at least....

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Blayne's outfit was ridiculous. Well deserved auf'ing. I was shocked by the Teri boot. I didn't think her outfit was that bad. It certainly wasn't a winner, but . . . eh, I just don't know. However, homegirl did have her bitch flag flying this episode. Keith bugs, but she was way, way over the top with him. And once again, it drives home the truism, "Always listen to the Tim."

That said, I still think Suede or Kenley should've gone. I didn't find anything chic or fashion forward about Suede's tired jumpsuit. Jumpsuit? Really? With those sad light blue cones? Suede/Jerry was like the anti-dream team. And Kenley's outfit was a monstrosity. There are no words.

For the win, I loved, loved Joe's. Shocking. I thought it was divine. Like Tim, I did not respond positively to Jerrel's choice of fabric, so I was surprised that he got the win. And my girl Korto continues to rock it out.

ANTM: Another good boot from Ty-Ty, but it was an overall pretty boring episode. I did think Sheena at the flexibility pose-off was hilarious. She is my girl. Just ghetto hoochie and can't even help herself. I think Elina has to be my favorite right now. I think she is gorgeous and her photo was fierce. And for once, I agreed with the judges that she was totally rocking the Jolie vibe (which is funny, because I don't get the Angelina love at all). I think Lauren Brie is kinda tore up, but must also give it up to the judges that her picture was fierce. In fact, many of the girls rocked the photo (Joslyn, McKey)

I wasn't surprised about the second auf. They didn't dislike the outfit, it just wasn't avant garde enough. Of course I don't think I (or most of the designers) understood what avant garde was. I wish that we could have heard more of the judges' discussion of Jerrell's outfit. I'm not sure what made it avant garde and not a mess.

I'm sure that a lot of it was editing, but Terri really seemed like a stone cold bitch. Keith sleeping wasn't great (Tim had to wake him up!), but Terri refused to work with him. or anyone else, for that matter.

We had barely seen it, so when it came down the runway I was really surprised, but thought it was gorgeous.

Like Tim, I did not respond positively to Jerrel's choice of fabric, so I was surprised that he got the win.

It looked much better on the runway than earlier, that's for sure. I wish they told us how many votes each outfit got.

I thought Terri's (before removing the fur) was one of the few (with Korto's and Leanne) that you could get the sign by the outfit. Even though I never really liked her, I totally thought it was better than Suede and Kenley. I'm thinking the construction must have been worse than I saw.

I liked it, but it wasn't avant garde, I think. But what the hell do I know?

I'm thinking the construction must have been worse than I saw.

yeah, plus any time a designer uses gold lamè, they call it cheap looking, or "question the taste level"
