I don't think Joshua did nearly as badly at VW as Kherrington did in the krumping. I mean, damn.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
How is it possible for them to sound even MORE ignorant this season than previous?
It's really out of control and goes to something else that's been really bothering me about this season, which is the complete lack of even a token attempt to get some POC on the judges panel. Shane decamped for ABDC and Debbie got knocked out by her previous association with Will (which is bullshit because Brian Friedman and S1 Blake had worked together many times before he got on the show and many other past contestants have had ties to judges). But what the hell? They've had Cicely and Olisa Back as choreographers but not judges (even though they'd been judges in the past) and L'il C has now choreographed twice but not been invited onto the panel? Eeewww.
Mark stole that number!
Mark and Chelsie #2 - Yay! I loved that. Loved them. That was so good. Mark was smokin', Chelsie was hot. I enjoy Tyce when he's not aping other Broadway choreographers. I do not like that the judges are falling all over themselves over Chelsie. I really disagree with Mia and wonder what bug crawled up her butt about Mark. He is far from poorly trained. That was a weird judging session.
kat, you make some really valid points. I think Napoleon is their main judge of color (though let me not go off on NappyTabs choreo). There are plenty of strong choreographers who they could tap to be judges.
Thayne and Comfort #2 - WTF on Comfort's outfit? Why is she dressed like a 50's housewife? I did not like the choreography at all. It was boring. They were boring. I think Thayne could've done more, but he wasn't given anything to work with. Well, they are gone this week, anyway. Agreed with Mia that with what he was given, Thayne turned it out. He even managed to get rid of the cheese-eating grin.
I want to like Comfort and Thayne a lot more than I do. And so do the judges, apparently...
They seem to have fallen out of love with Comfort. I think they wanted her to be another Sabra, but she just wasn't what they thought she was.
So the title of this week's episode is "throw Comfort under a bus."
subtitled: "We don't want Mark to take the place of one of our preferred men in the competition, so tonight we begin the slow march to his dismissal."

This is KILLING me. Comfort was dead in the water weeks ago and benefitted from the fact that there was other dead weight to get rid of on the girls side before her number came up. But the Mark thing is inexcusable! He tore that Broadway routine up and his technique was impeccable and the judges all but ignored him in order to prop Chelsie, except for Mia, who ripped him a new one (and this after she'd already hated all over him the week that she choreographed for him and Chelsie). I am sick about it, because he really should make Top 4 and he's getting totally sandbagged tonight.
