Kherington and Twitch - Not nearly as bad as it could've been. Kherington definitely lost energy about 3/4 of the way through the routine and the last part just fell off. Twitch was awesome all the way through.

I really have issues with how they talk about hip hop, especially krumping, on this show.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

kat, I am actually offended by how they discuss hip hop. It is MUCH worse this year than previous seasons. I think they are overcompensating due to the perceived (or otherwise) competition from ABDC and this is fucking up their appropriateness meter.

How is it possible for them to sound even MORE ignorant this season than previous?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Kherrington's outfit was all wrong, too. She looked like a laker girl dancing with a guy from the hood!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Black people are scary.

Obvs.

yes we are, Jesse.

See!!

I love Joshua and Katee. He's so sturdy looking, and then so light and lovely. (Now I hear Mary saying the dancing was NSM, but eh.)

don't you think Gev has had SOME ballroom training? I don't think he fell off the ballroom turnip truck yesterday.

You could totally be right. His carriage is insane for someone who's never danced ballroom.

Speaking of hip-hoppers with undercover training . . . Katee was exquisite in that and Josh got through it. Not a ton of closed hold in that dance. I don't know how difficult it was as a partner dance. The technique wasn't there, but I enjoyed it and they have a great connection as partners.

So is tonight "Let's knock Mark/Chelsie and Katee/Joshua down a peg" night? Salsa and Viennese Waltz? Really?

OK, Mary!

Ha! I'll take it. I need more rhinestones on, though. And a bad weave.

I don't think Joshua did nearly as badly at VW as Kherrington did in the krumping. I mean, damn.

It's really out of control and goes to something else that's been really bothering me about this season, which is the complete lack of even a token attempt to get some POC on the judges panel. Shane decamped for ABDC and Debbie got knocked out by her previous association with Will (which is bullshit because Brian Friedman and S1 Blake had worked together many times before he got on the show and many other past contestants have had ties to judges). But what the hell? They've had Cicely and Olisa Back as choreographers but not judges (even though they'd been judges in the past) and L'il C has now choreographed twice but not been invited onto the panel? Eeewww.
