kat, are you at all bothered by the camera work this season? It is driving me crazy with the swoops and the inappropriate close-ups instead of full body shots that show what they are doing! Can't they just focus on showing us the choreography without getting fancy about it?!

The camerawork is insane. Drunk monkeys could do better. In fact, all the production values are really lacking this season. The lighting has been horrible. The wardrobe is worse than it's ever been. I am not enjoying.

Kourtni and Matt – That was. . .cute. Matt was breathtaking just there at the beginning. His natural cheesiness really worked for him. He’s a beautiful dancer, really. I quite enjoyed him. Kourtni was . . . there. I mean, she was all right, but I really didn’t pay attention to her. There wasn’t a lot of close hold in that dance and what was there wasn’t all that great, so I’m not sure how challenging it really was. Agreed with Mary, it started really strong and then kinda petered out. Thank you for keeping it real. And yes, Nigel, the comp faces and cheesiness have got to go.

Courtney and Gev – These two are so cute. That was amazing. So gorgeous. Courtney was lovely in this dance. Mia’s full of shit. Gev turned it out. For a b-boy, he did an amazing job. I loved that. When she ran up his leg and into that turning lift? It was tremendous. Nigel is also full of shit. Cat called them a pocket couple. Ha! Well, I loved it and I felt emotion from the two of them. Mandy, you’ve somewhat redeemed yourself from the mess you set on Chelsea and Thayne.

I wish you all could have been in my living room watching Dillo, in a diaper, rocking out to the Argentine Tango. He was almost as cute as Wossname-with-a-C and Mark.

I think some of the dances, for the viewing audience, suffer because we're not seeing what we need to see. I loved the tango, but still felt I didn't see enough of it.

ITA about the costumes and lighting, too! It's like they got a new production team who don't know the show and don't know what works.

Joshua and Katee – So, so cute. Ok, I give up. They are a great couple. And she is a good dancer. That was really, really fun. Tyce can turn it out when he stays away from the Fosse copying. And extra props for taking it to the Godspell place. I love that score. Joshua has had some serious training, y’all. Did you see those barrel rolls? And Katie really keeps surprising me. The tra la la place of her heart? Mary has lost her damn mind. I think the judges maybe oversold this just a little bit. It was a fun routine, but not that fun. And the pimping is out of control. You want a Joshua/Will final two. Yes, we got it. Personally, I am loving me some Mark right now, thank you very much. But this was another solid week for this couple. And I agree that they do have a really nice vibe together.

Marquis and Susie – OK, they are really funny together. With the chip breath? Oh, that was so sad when she started crying because Alex talked shit about her behind her back. Sadly, he’s right. Her technique is just not there. She does look like the pretty girl at the party who's probably the best dancer on the block, but far from a professional. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. And the judges are really coming down on them. It did look like everything was labored. You could see them working hard at it. So sad for them because you can tell that they really wanted to do well. It really wasn’t good, though.

Joshua has had some serious training, y’all.

They mentioned this in Vegas and it's starting to peeve me that they keep pushing him as a popper, with an implied "just a." They know he's had more training and they should be making him 'fess up. If I don't vote for him, it's exactly because of this. I'm being lied to and I don't like it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A lot of them this season seem more well-rounded to me. I think they should, really, since there is time between Vegas and the main show, right? Time to take at least some classes in other stuff, anyway.

And Joshua did say last week that he took ballet when they had the money for it.

He's done a lot more than just squeeze a few ballet classes in between football practice given what he busted out tonight. I actually don't mind. If you want to be successful on this show, you must be able to dance outside your own genre, so props to him. But I do think it's disengenuous on the show's part to keep playing the "no training" card, 'cause that dog won't hunt.

Kherington and Twitch – Ha! Kherington busting on Twitch’s fake glasses was funny stuff. Dammit, show. Stop trying to make me like my pre-hate contestants. Oh my god. It’s worse than the dead daddy dance. I hate when the show does this. And to frikkin’ Celine Dion? Oh, hell to the naw! What exactly made that a waltz? They just did a contemporary routine in place of a waltz. Hello, hatred, my old friend. Mia was right. Nigel needs to shut it. We know you want to sleep with her. She comes off as fake and plastic. (And here is the part where I’m distracted by Twitch’s abs) And is no one going to mention the missed lift at the end? Sigh. I feel like I watched a different routine. At least Nigel acknowledges that it was not, in fact, a Viennese Waltz.
