The one thing that bugs me about Ann is that she's known all along that ANTM has a runway element, and so far we haven't seen her (or any of the girls except Chelsey) work on their walk. I remember the days of yore when Ms. Jay would work with all the modeltestants. I fear that Ann is gonna tank the Roberto Cavalli show so badly that Chelsey is going to win, and I don't really like her that much.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
ANTM: I'm surprised Ann made it. She has great pics but can't represent well in person. Hard for go-sees and runway.
I really thought it would be Kayla and Chelsey. I'm glad Franca S. thought Kayla was good. Hopefully she'll have a good career.
I knew they were going to take Ann all the way. ALT is in love with her. Tyra, too. It's annoying because clearly she can't walk and I can't imagine her in a Covergirl commercial. But Miss Tyra wants to pretend like she's fancy all of a sudden and Ann is by far the most high fashion of all the girls left. She's got that whole Kristen Mcmenamy, ugly-pretty thing going on. I think she could do well as a print model, but she's hopeless on the runway (and she really is too tall for sample sizes).
The thing about Chelsea is that Tyra was exactly right that if she hasn't popped yet in the industry, she's probably not really likely to. She's just an OK girl and she takes OK pictures. There's not a lot that's special about her. I don't see how she can lose though because Ann can't walk and she can't do commercials. I would've preferred to see a Kayla/Chelsea final.
I am really enjoying Fashion Show. I thought it would be too much like PR, but the Houses and the full-on show instead of a runway with just the judges really make a difference. And Iman is a whole lot of awesome, but I expected that.
Eta: that the winners get future advantages is pretty interesting, too.
I am really enjoying Fashion Show.
Me, too. I love Cesar. But Calvin is almost too much for me.
ANTM: I was totally bummed about Kayla! Ann's Cover Girl commercial should be awesome.
Calvin's grating, but that skirt/cape thing was pretty cool. I can't decide if it is good or bad that the house has no input as to who goes home. I guess the judges can take into account the personality dynamics they see.
Ann's Cover Girl commercial should be awesome
I wonder if that lame "product demo" at WalMart's parking lot was in lieu of an actual commerical because next week is a stupid clip show and the week after is the runway show w/ RC. I miss the commercial - sometimes it 's the best part of ANTM.
On Fashion Show: I love Calvin as a reality show character, but I'd hate to have to deal with him as a real person. I did think his skirt into a cape dress was kind of fierce. And honestly, he's a better designer for sure than the girl who let the team talk her into putting that horrid little ruffle smack dab in the middle of her plain, satin tube dress. More tricks than a hooker. You gotta love Iman!
What kat said.
Also, I think it's pretty clear the judges are observing the personal dynamics, given who they chose to move to the other team. (More to create drama than to spare the original team, I'm assuming.) I wouldn't want the teams to have more say than what they spill on the runway in the ousters. Michael Costello would have been gone from PR in week 2 in that sort of set-up, for example.
