We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Is NO ONE else watching ANTM? it's kind of sad - there hasn't been a decent (I use the word advisedly) fight all season. And not much conflict since Kacey left.

Ha! I am! I can't quit it. I've been meaning to post about how much I loved the Zac Posen clothes they were modeling! So cute. I'm a sucker for tights I guess.

I had to ff through Ann skating. yikes. She may photograph well but, dag, is she awkward.

I am watching too! And had to fast forward through MOST of the skating. So painful (though I was kinda glad to see Jane do decently). But really, while I'm not a great skater, I don't see why everyone was fucking up the FIRST lines and doing so badly--before they stood up!! I mean, damn, people.

Kayla is my favorite, but even still, I was like "...you don't even want to be around 'them' (meaning MEN)? Really? You...have noticed Mr. Jay is a male, right?"

I think Ann photographs beautifully, but her awkwardness in person means she probably won't win this season, unless she suddenly gets over it. And Kayla ... well, Mr. Jay isn't threatening - he's not what you'd call macho. And she didn't have to kiss him, which seemingly was the problem. I did think someone might point out that there's a chance at least one of the male models would be gay so the sexual tension/threat there would be pretty much nil.

And when they did the dressing for the Grammy competition - did anyone think Ann deliberately sabotaged Chelsey? or was it just her general ineptness?

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I'm enjoying this season of ANTM more than I have in a while. Most of the girls look like they could actually be high fashion models. (I say most because Kris, while I love her personality, will not ever be a high fashion model) And I'm loving the bump in quality that came with ALT and Italian Vogue. Thought Zac Posen was adorable on the show last night.

I'm really rooting for Kayla to take it all. Anne would be a disaster in a Covergirl commercial. She's not the type of model that could do Milan runways and more commercial work like SI Covers or Victoria's Secret shows, which is what Tyra seems to want. That said, Kayla is starting to come off as little more than a walking tragedy factory. A homeless teen lesbian with a rocky relationship with her absentee mom and now extra added sexual abuse. Give it a rest, sister.

If Heidi or Jessica had brought up McQueen they would have just turned around and said, "See--Mondo's derivative."

The thing is that I don't think Mondo's collection looks like McQueen. But many of the things that Nina and Michael dinged him for could also be said about McQueen's runway shows/collections.

Also, WTF is Michael Kors issue with John Galliano? He sounded like a bitter, bitter kitten.

Yeah, this. She seems generally kind of clueless.

sigh ... I kind of like Ann, but I can't see her winning. But I can see her with a good career in modeling, as long as it's still photos. Kayla, I generally like, except the "tragedy factory" (thank you Kat) is starting to wear thin.
