You know, I'm still bitter that Alexie was the first to go. I would have liked to see how she progressed. The fact that she left first should have warned me to just walk away form this season.
I loved the UK winner. That routine was amazing!

I agree with kat's top picks, but would add the Mia "child-man-old man" routine with Billy, Alex, and Ade; the Adechike and Comfort Falling number; and I just really loved "Hot N Fun" even though it wasn't real deep or anything. Adechike had some wonderful solos, too. (Okay, I just like Adechike.)
We watched the finale as a family last night and Casper took Kent's loss to Lauren well (she quickly jumped over to "girl power" I think.) mr. flea just about DIED laughing at the Special Superstar. He loved the Alex-Twitch routine and we still watch it occasionally for no reason. That is one for the ages.
Well, finally caught up with this week's Reality TV.
Masterchef's first week of competition (chopping onions and cooking one egg) has started off looking very promising.
SYTYCD: Happy Lauren won. I feel she really had a good night, capping off a good season. Favorite dances of the season are basically NappyTabs: My Chick Bad, Scars (the clowns), Outta Your Mind, Fallin'. Maybe Mad World and Fix You, although that one was a bit too "cancer dance" for me.
Top Chef: What can I say? This season is boring in the extreme.
Project Runway: Still don't get Gretchen. And the edit is really not doing her any favors. Wasn't happy about the boot, but, based on the dress, I can't argue with it.
PR: I wish I could figure out how to FF through all the contestants talking about each other without missing the actual construction and decision-making. I really liked a lot of the designs this week - most of the "safe" designs were pretty great.
Really rooting for Valerie to win a challenge. It's a shame about the auf but that was definitely the losing dress.
I'm finally catching up on PR and I call bullshit on the first episode winner. There were at least two other outfits that were more interesting. And I totally didn't agree with all of the rest being in the bottom. I liked Ivy's blouse - that was gorgeous.
Now I, personally, loved the blue dress, but wish she had edited the epaulettes. And dammit.
Mssterchef, huh? Maybe I can find it on Hulu.
I did watch two episodes of Gordon Ramsey's Great Adventure and that was alot of fun. Is the whole series in India? I don't know why, but I had thought prior to seeing it that there would be other places too. Now, I'm not so sure.
Watching the Jacque and Julia marathon on WTTWPrime: so much fun. Love they way that they don't always agree but they are still so civil.
PR: They really decided to show the badside of Gretchen this week. Let's see if the editing monkeys show this side
HGTV extends the production of The Antonia Treatment which is the show of one of the recent Design Stars. I did not see his season but I watched his show last night and found it enjoyable.
In completely unrelated news - BET is going to run documentary on NOLA five years after Katrina. (More info at the Futon Critic.
Aww, sumi. I checked to see if I was getting Jacques & Julia, but no love. I bought the SO Jacques & Julia themed gift last year, La Technique and Mastering the Art. I wanted them together to tie it in, but couldn't find it at the time.
In other nonfic news that no one other than me is watching, I was so shocked on Top Shot when J.J. didn't win! I thought sure he was going to take it all. I loved the respect they had for him. I still want to make a BAMF icon for him. Anyway, it was a fun show, and I'll be watching next season.
sumi, thanks for the link! Must set DVR to record. The host is currently on FNL, too.
THAT'S why her name was familiar! I couldn't recall where I'd seen it.
