Mssterchef, huh? Maybe I can find it on Hulu.
I did watch two episodes of Gordon Ramsey's Great Adventure and that was alot of fun. Is the whole series in India? I don't know why, but I had thought prior to seeing it that there would be other places too. Now, I'm not so sure.
Watching the Jacque and Julia marathon on WTTWPrime: so much fun. Love they way that they don't always agree but they are still so civil.
PR: They really decided to show the badside of Gretchen this week. Let's see if the editing monkeys show this side
HGTV extends the production of
The Antonia Treatment
which is the show of one of the recent Design Stars. I did not see his season but I watched his show last night and found it enjoyable.
In completely unrelated news - BET is going to run documentary on NOLA five years after Katrina. (More info at the Futon Critic.
Aww, sumi. I checked to see if I was getting Jacques & Julia, but no love. I bought the SO Jacques & Julia themed gift last year, La Technique and Mastering the Art. I wanted them together to tie it in, but couldn't find it at the time.
In other nonfic news that no one other than me is watching, I was so shocked on Top Shot when
J.J. didn't win! I thought sure he was going to take it all. I loved the respect they had for him.
I still want to make a BAMF icon for him. Anyway, it was a fun show, and I'll be watching next season.
sumi, thanks for the link! Must set DVR to record. The host is currently on FNL, too.
THAT'S why her name was familiar! I couldn't recall where I'd seen it.
Jess Merriweather! She was also in Roll Bounce, which I love love love. /movie natter
Speaking of Katrina, the Frontline/Pro Publica/Times-Picayune investigation is going to be on Frontline on August 25. That's some fucked up shit. [link]
ooh. thanks for that. I've been trying to keep track of NO news since Katrina and this one hadn't quite hit my radar.
A. C. Thompson was on Fresh Air a couple of weeks (?) ago, and the stories are really horrifying.
I kinda feel if I watch that I am going to make myself sick, but I will anyway. People are fucked up.
