Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

How is what they did in this episode different from a typical PR episode except they had like 5 minutes to put the outfit together.

Maybe this is why it's Project Runway like you've never seen it before?

giraffe mode

Hat Guy should have gone, he's skeevy and his garment was gross (staples? WTF!) This is the season of weird names: Mondo, Cassanova, Peach, McKell (which I sorta like and I thought that the judges would like her dress..shows what I know!). I was meh on the winning dress, it was a half-twist on the little black dress. I knew that as soon as Ivy said "it's the Ivy show" that she was doomed but she stood her ground which considering they were still "auditioning" was balls-y. Sometimes I think they keep the crazy designers around so Michael can keep his Sir Quips Alot title but frankly Cassanova's dress was several shades of wrong - the best part was the cut-away shot of Nina as the model was leaving the runway "oookay"

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

You know, I kind of liked Cassanova's dress. Yes, it's skimpy, but as a frequent reader of GFY it's not any worse than what the kids are wearing these days. I thought it draped and moved well, at least.

But, the taste level! Just because you see people wearing it, doesn't mean that they should.

Because books.

Also, you move too fast in almost any direction in that dress, and you've got multiple wardrobe malfunctions going on.

This is fashion, right? Designers send crazyass NSFW shit down runways all the time. Yes, PR tends towards the conservative and wearable end, but I'd rather Casanova's wardrobe malfunction than Skeevy Bowler's backwards hiked up kimono. Also, dress tape keeps covered a multitude of FCC violations.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Rayne,

'chike was reamed a new asshole by the judges several times and I think the audience didn't like this at all. The judges said some VERY inappropriate things. I think people are voting for him to stick it to the judges.

If I still used the phone to call in for contestants, I would be power voting for him just out of spite.

I just wanted them to get rid of more than one person after all that drama about the last audition and "none of you should feel safe". Such bullshit.

I think I'm also peeved because I liked McKell! And her dress could have been cute, I think.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

How in the HELL did Backwards Kimono guy get to stay??? At least Dreadlocks made a dress. It wasn't a flattering dress, but it was hardly the worst look up there.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Reality shows I am currently not happy with: Project Runway, SYTYCD, Top Chef.

PR better step it up, since I think the other two are beyond redemption at this point.
