Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I am so over this season. Watching week after week of Jose doing the most simplistic dancing (if you can even call it dancing at times) makes me want to throw stuff.

You know it's bad when I turn off the TV and pick up Don Quixote.

Also, I liked Master Chef last night. It was Idol-ish without being too Idol.

Finally watched. It shows promise. I don't get why some seemed to cook in front of the judges and others didn't.

And Gordon Ramsey was super cute.

He had me at Vous parlez français?

What do the costumes have to do with the dance?

umm, they had little stripes, as to evoke baseball uniforms? Okay, no.

I loved the Mad World piece, it was gorgeous. Love Kent and Broadway. Still hate Robert, I think that he's a bad partner. It may be a confidence issue, but he has got to be there more. He was good in the Bollywood, though. I think that Billy had better technical skills, but Robert was feeling it/sending it out more.

And, my friend Katie Thompson (Heaven on Earth) got another song on the show. (www.katiethompson.com if you want more of her stuff)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I thought that Kent/Jose Broadway number combined the music and some of the Fosse moves from the Kiss Me Kate routine with the alley dance from My Sister Eileen, which was danced by Fosse and Tommy Rall, so we actually had two Fosse-filled numbers tonight. That (ETA: well, Kent's portion of it) and the Mad World piece were the two best of the evening.

I did think that Lauren really brought it for the foxtrot; she way outdanced Adechike there.

I'm hoping it's Jose and Adechike gone this week.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I do not think that Alex stole Ed's pea puree (the idea of it, likely, and probably not even consciously.) I was flabbergasted that 90% of the polled people thought he did. People, please. Though I do not like Alex at all.

Yeah, what was the logic behind that? "Alex couldn't possibly have had time to puree those peas today!" Really? How long does it take to put peas in a blender?

I called Andrea going home at the halfway mark. Way to tip your hand, editors!

Art Crawl!!!

Work of Art - I guess we're going to see Jaclyn in the final three. Argh.

I'm guessing Abdi or Peregrine as the final auff.

What do you think?

I think Peregrine, unless she really brings it next week. I think that they like Abdi, and will put him in the final three.

Art Crawl!!!

They must be eliminating two next week. I want Nichole to make it to the final. I can't see them eliminating Miles.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I call shenanigans on the Top Chef editors. Why not clear up the case of the puree? I didn't like that they left suspicion over the head of one of the chefs.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, that just isn't right. On the other hand, maybe nobody ever found that puree.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

TC's blog is no help. He says they didn't find out about the peas until they saw the episode, and this late date there's no way to determine what happened (he also expressed a thinly veiled complaint that the producers didn't deviate from protocal and do something to resolve the matter). He did make a good point that there are basically three possibilites to what happened, and only one involved foul play.
