Argh. To cap off my Thursday-masquerading-as-Monday, there was a power outage last night at my house (a nearby powerstation blew up, possibly due to the unseasonable heat), so TiVo didn't record the eliminations, because the cable box wasn't working. GRR!
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
meara, you saw they are streaming the whole episodes on the website now, right?
Yeah but not for FOUR MORE DAYS!
Holy heck! I had no idea Adam Shankman was the choreographer for Once More, with Feeling! I was watching David Fury's behind the scenes and they showed him several times! (Nice 'stache, Adam!)
Really? Wow.
Anyone but me still interested in NFNS? This week's was kind of a joke at judgement time - two of the top contestants who had a bad day....and Paul, Douchebag Extraordinaire. Was deliberation even necessary?
This is normally the point in the season where I'd say "Dude, just give it to Aarti already and stop wasting our time" but I'm actually really enjoying this season. They seem to have finally hit on a formula that's working for me.
I am, but Leverage is interfering with it, and we're still DVRless. So I'm trying to catch up in reruns.
I wish I could, but I can't stand Bobby Flay.
Vortex is me.
I was so glad Paul went home! He made me want to throw things at the screen! There actually seems to be quite a few decent contenders this year.
Design Star on the other hand, I just don't get. Why do they keep doing group challenges? Have they always done that and I've just forgotten? I'd like to see how these people design as individuals, not how they design as a group (especially with one person steamrolling over the rest - Nina I'm looking at you).
