I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Tonight's Mythbusters is a two-hour special, and here is a great two- part interview with Jamie and Adam.

He danced to Footloose, so I guess it would be considered contemporary? He did very, very good. Definitely kept up with his "all star" partner.

It was a Tasty number, so not terribly inspired in terms of choreography, but he really did do well. And it's gotta be tough to go first.

I already know this new format is not going to do it for me. I'm going to miss seeing how the partnerships develop. (Although I want to see Kathryn and Mark dance together.)

I keep watching the all-stars instead of the contestants! Especially Mark and Pasha!

I think the guy competitors are totally being upstaged.

Exception:

Dayum. Alex is a force of nature.

Thrive to spite them

Okay so I didn't like Alex's number. I think it was the music. Well the music (I love that song it's just.. over used) and the some of shaking stuff that they were doing.

Watching Pasha made me want to watch Anya and Pasha dance again he is so good, it will be interesting to see if he outshines all his partners.

There are things I like about the new format and things I don't. I do think the level of performer we're seeing is at an all time high, because they were able to narrow it down to just 11. I think the dancing I'm seeing is some of the best right out of the gate. I do think not having the same partner every week is going to be a huge disadvantage, because of that lack of rapport that so many of the contestants are exhibiting with only having one week to get the routine down and then move on. I'm reserving judgement until later in the season on how I think it works overall, because at least we won't be losing anyone because they had a complete crap partner.

Well, except everyone is in the same boat. This is what they did the first season (drew names every week) and it seemed to work fine. At least this way no one will be carried further than they should go because of their partner.
