Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Shirtless Pasha! I can quit watching live, now, and just what's on my DVR. Hee.

Oh, Billy and Alex, you are both so beautiful. You give me shivers and I don't want to see either of you leave, ever.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I second this, wholeheartedly!

Because books.

I still think the all-stars thing is weird, because when I find myself watching them, I think, shit! Pay attention to the competitors! And yet, the show is doing what's done all along, I guess -- promoting dance, and hiring these kids to dance on the show is probably huge for them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am a little worried that the second half of the season will be all boys, because I really have much more of a feel for more of them.

It was fun to see the all-stars mixing it up with the newbies, but I think the contestants got lost in the crowd sometimes. Seems like the focus should have been on them more than on the all-stars. That said, I love to see everyone dance before the competition begins. Alex is like unto a god to me. Adechike looks promising, too. Oh, heck, they all look great.

Kathryn was one of my favorites last season, and it was extra cool to see her again. And Mark! And Ade! Love 'em.

Because books.

I loved the opening group number, too. That was gorgeous.

Ooh, yes, the opening was great. I love Wade Robson (most of the time).

And the camera kept finding Mark for us!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I'm a little concerned at what this means for the hip hop dancing on SYTYCYD this season. We have 1 such dancer who has this as his expertise and 3 from previous seasons. So what does this mean?

That they couldn't find other hip hop dancers in the THOUSANDS who tried out who could do the other styles? That they feel there have been too many winners who were skilled in this area, so they are trying to weight it the other way (not unlike Nygel's constant harangue that a woman needed to win 2 or so seasons ago).

It is nice when we get a couple of good hip hop routines each season, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
