Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

TCM: Woohoo! A local chef (who's rest. I adore) is going on to the next round.

I must say, I'm still a little pissed that they keep changing up the rules every episode it seems, but so be it - this time fewer contestants and one gets to go on out of the quickfire.

I definitely think the "second chance" chefs are the ones who should have been saddled with the team challenge - I wouldn't have nearly the complaints I do now.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I love the dichotomy of the asian chef with the stereotypical accent and the chef's potty mouth.

My favorite chef is now Jodi, with her "interrupted sex" analogy.

ARGH! I just figured out who was going to win because I saw the chef in the preview for next week. Spoiler FAIL, Bravo!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love the dichotomy of the asian chef with the stereotypical accent and the chef's potty mouth.

And his wife! Telling him to STFU and get cooking. Good times.

If you ever get up to Boston (or Cambridge, to be precise) you definitely need to get to Rialto. Hell, I NEED to get back there - it's been a long while.

Because books.

We just got spoiled right before the end, too, Vortex. Fail.

I'm finding it really annoying that every episode has different rules and challenge structures. But the chefs are still entertaining.

I loved Jodi and Susur, too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I can see that they're trying to change it up and keep it interesting, but it's just feeling unfair and arbitrary. Fail.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Is Marcus Samuelson on TCM this season?

ANTM, poop!

Yeah, ANTM I was less than enthused by. I couldn't tell if it was true, the photo shoot bit, or just an edit, on who did well, but if true...Well, I guess really, I want to see Raina, Angelea, and Krista duke it out with more photos and such--I'm not seeing Jessica and Alexandra get anywhere, but Alasia, much as she could annoy, did occasionally manage to have good pictures. But she also had some dreckitude, so I'm not too broken up to lose her.
