I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Thrive to spite them

I recorded the finale but I'm not going to watch if Tyra won because..she's so mean and nasty and then acted all shocked when she got called on it on the runway.

She can put together an outfit, but when it came time to really preform -- like the snatch game or the rock star one, she was just...bland.

OMG. Why is Shania wearing cammo, cropped, harem pants? Really? Well, Lee picked one of the few Shania songs that's an actual song and not a catchy line + a hook and then he was screechy and pitchy from the very first note. He kinda found his way in the middle and then lost it again at the end. I think he screwed up trying to do the ket change. Whatever. It was adequate, far from good, and I wish the judges would get off his jock.

Big Mike/It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing - He really does have a lovely voice. I can't front. Although Luther? I beg to differ. But he's just so cheesy, with the sway, and the gospel hand, and the tilt of the head just so. I never feel a real connection from him, Judge #4. he always comes off fake as hell. Simon was right. I don't get the whole wet thing, unless he meant wet blanket, but I totally get the bad community theater vibe.

Also, the shoes? Dear lord in heaven, the Shania shoes. Did she break her feet on the way to the mentor room? And I can't even start with Judge #4 and her metric ton of cubic zirconia fashioned into the world's ugliest and least functional bib.

Casey and Crystal both sang well and both bored me for very different reasons. Still, I'll be miffed if either one leaves before the Cheesemaster or Wondertwink.

I was about to toddle off to bed when I realized I hadn't said anything about Siobahn. And that's because I don't have anything to say about Siobahn. I'm so over her, which is sad because I used to be very much under her. But now? She, Big Mike, Wondertwink . . . they can pretty much go in any order.

In Glee news, Artie totally schooled Big Mike in how to effectively deploy the gospel hand. Check him out when Mercedes is digging into that X-Tina classic. I hope the cheesemaster was taking notes.

I love Rich a lot. Good thing I moved away, so I can stop imagining that we're really close to being Actual Friends.

Um...I totally do this even though we've never lived in the same city.

For me, it's easier to remember the line with some geographical distance....
