I still miss Boston Rob, but what a shock! Those villains are sneaky!
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Okay, Survivor question. The Heroes HII went from JT to Russell to Pavarti. Russell had the first Villain one that he gave to Pavarti. Where did Pavarti get the other one? Did we see that? I did miss the episode where Coach got voted off. Maybe then?
Yeah, she found it and told no one but Danielle. So it was a total surprise to Russell when she played it.
If Parvati wins Survivor again I just don't know what I'll do. The luck of the evil. For real.
On PR: Of the final 3, I was ecstatic that Seth Aaron picked up the win. His collection was stronger than Emilio's or Mila's. I totally understood the critique of Emilio's work as a line and not a collection, even though there were many, many pieces in his show that I would wear. I want that turquoise coat on my body right now. I didn't care for Mila's collection at all, although that's not unusual as I haven't really liked much of what she's done on the show. Much like the Project Rungay boys, however, my favorite collection of all the PR designers who showed was Jay's. I thought it was the most ambitious, the most editorial, and the collection that showed the greatest creative vision, even though some of his looks I absolutely did not respond to. Nonetheless, after seeing his appalling behavior on the reunion show last night, I'm glad he didn't win. I'm not a fan of Cerri's. I think she was bitchy throughout the whole season. She was clearly the leader of the "older model" cabal on Models of the Runway and she proved herself to be an inveterate shit talker and kind of a bully. And I do think the diss on Jay's clothes was overly harsh, but Jay crossed the line by criticizing her looks in a way that was totally unacceptable. He should be ashamed. It really stuck out in an episode where all the other designers and models were all about the apology and trying to smooth over ruffled feathers and hurt feelings from the season.
Aw, there's a sad note to TAR tonight if you happen to Google one of the people featured in the noodle-making challenge.
I was thinking about that, Amy.
OK, what was that line about how Cord may not be the most talented at some things, but he makes up for it in try? That was awesome. Also "thanks for having us."
I could not heart the cowboys any more.
The cowboys are one of my favorite teams ever, definitely. The way he started stripping when his puzzle pieces were blowing? Awesome.
The cowboys are totally awesome, and you can tell that all the rest of the teams love them, too. (And the musical score writer--whoever he/she is, loved the Western theme music they gave the team tonight!)
And I was really rooting for Dan and Jordan after that first roadblock; Dan was so supportive of Jordan. Wasn't too thrilled with that preview for next week though, because threatening to beat up your taxidriver while you're in the cab is never a good idea!
