BTW, I totally went "!!!" in my head when the guest judge said something about blue and orange NOT being complementary because - HELLO - yes, they are.
THIS. I mean, like lisah said, the outfits didn't really work, but the palette was fine with me. The little girl's sweater was adorable, and I think if she had made a skirt or something for the model, instead of the pants, she might have gotten away with it. I actually really liked the palette.
Seth Aaron's was just adorable. It definitely paid off that he had a daughter of his own for this challenge.
I'm amazed Emilio didn't get any criticism. The dresses were pretty, yes, but absolutely nothing more. The little girl's dress was straight out of Laura Ashley, and the model's dress was well tailored but boring as hell.
I nearly forgot that my second favorite moment of the ep was when Kors quoted Chorus Line in his critiquery--that was fabulous!

I was SHOCKED he wasn't in the bottom 3.
Also, the thing about Amy's outfit for the little girl is that it was a jumble but some little kids love dressing like that!
Who was doing the awesome Kors impression? That was hysterical, too.
Yes, that was hysterical. I can't remember the name but it was the guy in the bottom 3.
Survivor: Yeah, James was OTT last night. I felt so bad for Boston Rob after he fainted. The shakiness and the tears and him talking about how much he respects the game.
Why did they vote Stephanie off and not that Blonde Chick Whose Name I Can't Remember Because She Has No Personality?
Because I think Steph is a strategic threat. I like Candice this time around, though. Her admissions of complete powerlessness were refreshing, and I think Cirie and her have a natural chemistry.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED Seth Aaron's jacket on the big model. WANT. I also loved the outfit on the little girl. My niece would have been all over that.
I wasn't surprised at the one who went home. The other bottom two's outfits weren't successful, but they showed some creative design and ambition, even if it didn't work. Those pants were atrocious, but they took a lot of work and were a creative idea. I didn't have an issue with the palette. I didn't like it, but I don't understand why the judges kept harping on it. I've seen that turquoise and orange together often. Clearly the Duchess hasn't been to South Beach in a while.
I agree with all y'all on PR. I think looking at a preliminary sketch of Amy's pants, I would think it was a cool idea, but they really didn't work. And i liked that, uh, what's-his-name who did the Kors impression said "I understood it was a risk", I thought that was a nice way of putting it - so much better than "you don't understand my vision".
Eta: Jonathan. That I'm probably spelling wrong
I'm pretty sure I've seen my niece in outfits put together almost exactly like Amy's girl's outfit. But they don't get marketed that way, I don't think. Which is part of the fun of putting them together, as I recall,
t /still often look as if I got dressed in the dark
