Something else I loved about the Sing Off: 3 nights! 'nuf said.
Something(s) I really did not like: The BYU woman's fauxhawk. Pitting the BarbershopMoms against much larger, more diverse (style wise and other wise) groups. And searching so hard for a heart string pull for each group and, for the Bubs, coming up with "I'm an only child." That last one made me snort.
One more love: Ben telling the Bubs that they embody what people want to think college boys are like.
The only person who even said anything about Russell was Monica when she realized she was going to get voted off. She was telling the truth and no one believed her.
I think Russell severely underestimated how important the social part of the game is, he did things to make everyone miserable, back stabbed pretty much everyone he had an alliance with and the problem with that is you don't win by playing the best strategic game, you win by getting the votes I don't think he factored in that people will not vote for you if they don't like you and think you were an ass.
I am having a very Top Chef food day. Lunch was at Huber Keller's burger bar, and dinner us at RM Seafood. Nom nom nom
Ooh! That is awesome! What did you get? How was it?
Great. I had sushi at RM which was very very good , and served by a very flirty waiter so it was fun too plus there was champagne. I had one of their special rolls (shrimp tempura, crab, and spicy tuna), black cod nigiri, and an appetizer of cooked white fish (forget which one) with crispy ginger and kaffir lime. I took a picture I can upload when I get home.
The burger was also excellent but still a burger.
::salivating::
Damn, but that sounds yummy, Lee. Lucky you.

I forgot to mention that the black cod nigiri had little strips of butternut squash on them.
So, I finalized my SYTYCD DVD for my sister, choosing 20-25 dances from both Seasons 5 & 6. I must say, while I have a few more dances from Season 6 and think the dancers may have been better technically, they just don't thrill me like some of the Season 5 dances.
I don't know if it's the choreography, partners, music, stage, camerawork, or what. Is it just me?
Here's my "best of" baker's dozen from each:
Season 5:
Janette & Brandon’s disco
Randi & Evan’s “Koop Island Blues” contemporary
Kayla & Kūpono’s
Twilight
contemporary
Jeanine & Phillip’s “Love Lockdown” hip hop
Kayla & Kūpono’s “Gravity” contemporary
Janette & Brandon’s Argentine tango
Janette & Brandon’s Wade Robson jazz
Janette & Ade’s “Love Sex Magic” hip hop
Jeanine & Jason’s Travis Wall contemporary
Jeanine & Brandon’s “Battlefield” Laurie Ann Gibson pop-jazz
Melissa & Ade’s Tyce Diorio contemporary (on breast cancer)
Kayla & Jason’s Shane Sparks zombie hip hop
Jeanine & Brandon’s “Matrix” paso doble
Season 6:
Bianca & Victor’s contemporary
Ellenore & Ryan’s “Arcadia” contemporary jazz
Kathryn & Legacy’s Dave Scott hip-hop
Karen & Kevin’s Nappy Tab hip-hop
Pauline & Peter’s “Starry Night” jazz
Ashleigh & Jakob’s “Relax” jazz
Kathryn & Legacy’s “So Deep” jazz
Ashleigh & Jakob’s “Time Flies” lyrical jazz
Ellenore & Ryan’s “Razzle Dazzle” broadway
Ellenore & Jakob’s “Tore My Heart” contemporary
Mollee & Jakob’s waltz
Ellenore & Legacy’s
Mr & Mrs Smith
contemporary
Kathryn & Jakob’s finale contemporary
I like a lot of these, I just don't want to watch them over and over, as I can for many of the Season 5 dances.
