Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Oh yeah, it was totally vulvular in cropped shots. Seeing the whole thing made it less so, but only somewhat.
ZOMGSURVIVOR!
That was awesome. I love blindsides.
Yes, the dress definitely said "VAGINA" to me. It was completely distracting. It's a pretty dress but I didn't quite understand why no one brought that up.
That said, I think Gordana was done wrong.
Now I'm sad that Gordana didn't take the opportunity to declaim "My work is strongly vaginal. Some people find that threatening."
I always hate the "why should you go to Bryant Park and who should go with you" portion, it's stupid.
it is sometimes interesting when they ask who shouldn't go. :)
So, if an effort to clean off the dvr while I work at home, I've mainlined the first 6 Project Runway episodes. It's pretty amazing. Stopping here, you would never think Christopher wouldn't be in the top three, and I think you'd be hard pressed to pick the three who end up there. Carol Hannah's only been in the top three once, Althea won for that ghastly "suit" and Irina for the paper coat, which, let's face it, looked like a coat made out of paper. While none of them was in the bottom, they really don't stand out. Also, looking back, Gordana sort does get screwed.
Mostly, I realized that part of what made this season supremely uninteresting is that, apart from the newspaper challenge, the challenges have not been very challenging. Yawn.

Bwahahahaha:
Dan insists that Sam is “book smart,” while he is “street smart.” I can’t wait to see any evidence of either of those things being true! Well, unless Sam’s book is the Harmless Hapless Himbopedia and Dan’s street is Usually Slightly Confused Boulevard.

That was good, but my problem wasn't that I thought the whole detour was biased (once they saw that they couldn't ring the bell easily they should've figured out the golf), it's that the bell-ringing didn't seem to relate to that challenge at all and only served as a pointless physical hurdle, that, based on experience, would be much harder for women.
