Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I probably shouldn't be astounded by the racers who thought "The Persian Gulf" was a country, but... WE'VE ONLY BEEN INVOLVED IN WARS THERE FOR THE PAST 8 YEARS. How dumb-ass-American can you get, anyway?

Good fakeout on going up The Tallest Building In The World, just to bunch 'em up and keep 'em on their toes. And how dumb-ass does Mika look, because if you've watched past seasons, sometimes half the challenges seemed to involve heights -- did she miss the ones where they rappelled down buildings? Walked out on catwalks over nuclear reactor stacks? Climbed cliffs?

Lance & Keri: in comparison to last week, this was a much-deserved elimination. And despite the fact that I found them pretty unpleasant, they weren't spending their screentime blaming each other for their screwups.

Art Crawl!!!

True, there is that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Remember that this is the same group of people who just last week couldn't recognize a photo of Jackie freaking Kennedy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, this leg they seemed to get over trying to win and seemed like they were having a better time with each other, so that's something. Although he still wanted to kick the snowman! He's not right.

I was happy to see the teams do their own driving. And getting lost. Ahhh, good times.

As much as I reallyreally hate Lance, I did laugh when he was wandering in the desert, muttering, "Let's do the Amazing Race! It'll be fun!!!"

I think I would have "started" the find-the-snowman challenge just to ride the sleds down, then bypassed the snowpiles and gone directly to the snowman building, because "finding" tasks can work out spectacularly badly, historically. But I wouldn't have wanted to miss the slopes in Dubai!

Seriously. More reasons why J and I would never be picked for the race I suppose.

All in all, I've been supremely uninterested in this season.

On the other hand, I am loving Next Iron Chef.

Yeah, I was really surprised how many people picked that one first. And laughed and laughed when the Globetrotters just walked up and picked up the snowman!

And I loved their chest-bump when they came in second.

Poker girls luck turned their way once again, because we know that it can take hours sometimes to get a spare car given to you. Maybe it WAS hours, but it sure didn't seem like their level of fret was that high.
