Wow, that elimination was a surprise. And doesn't bode well for Robin's treatment.
Ash was pretty funny, though, when he said in the stew room, "I forgot FLAVOR!"

We were talking about this at home, and decided that we could both see how Robin would get annoying under those circumstances. But Eli is just mean, and that's unforgivable. There's an air of passive-aggressiveness and entitlement about him that's just plain off-putting.
Still looking at a Kevin, Jen, Brothers V. finale, but Restaurant Wars is next, and if a contender's going to go down, it'll happen there.
But Eli is just mean, and that's unforgivable.
The bickering was one thing. I can totally see how they get there all crowded in the house. The crowing about it later on was a serious asshole move.
They're so clearly tiered now, with tonight's top four and bottom three and Eli and Mike I in the middle. They'd likely both have done very well in another season. But I'm hoping they don't break ranks in this one.
(Interesting comment from someone about one of the V brothers trying to needle at the other one. I didn't catch who was who though.)

Agreed, but Mike I's "grandma's got to go" was far, far worse. Even more than the crowing Eli did, IMO. I was glad to see Bryan give a bit of a disgusted look at that one. And also happy to see Kevin trying to say something nice about Robin earlier in the show. He's definitely a class act.
Mike I.'s taunting with the "Rotten Robin" really got to me. So grade-school.
They couldn't check in without the passport because the leg is not considered to be complete if you're missing travel documents or a clue. Keeping track of that stuff is part of the race.
I get that, I just wish I knew that rule existed before last night. Is there a routine check they go through? If there is, since they were allowed to check in, I assume its post-mat. Wasn't there someone who lost their passport before? Or am I misremembering?
TAR: Basically, I was sad to see that team go.
NICA: Interesting challenge, although I wonder about the "popularity" of these national foods. I sure as hell have never heard of people eating coxcombs in France.
However, to segue to TC, I have eaten many rillettes in my time and I wonder if the chefs have ever eaten what most people serve as rillettes, because, yeah, the texture's not great and it sort of looks and smells like cat food. So does a lot of pâté.
ION, I screwed up my taping of SYTYCD last night. Is that on the FOX site, or Hulu? I don't care too much about auditions, is it worth seeking out?
I agree that Robin could get annoying in that situation and also that the other contestants are just taking it too far - plus - she's younger than I am! Mike I just needs to go and so does Eli.
The top 4 vs. the bottom 3 fell out the way that I thought it would. I do hope that none of this week's top 4 get messed up in Restaurant Wars. (It looks like a Brothers V team vs. Kevin and Jen. That could be excellent.)
so it appears that Mia Michaels has resigned from SYTYCD.
