"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have not seen "Making His Band".

But I do have a free preview of some bonus channels this week and so have been watching "Manhunter" on Science Channel obsessively today. Gorgeous Canadian scenery! Cowboys on horses! Orienteering!

I had this chance to go to "Becoming An Outdoorswoman" weekend last month and passed it up due to cash. But watching stuff like this makes me really want to go in spring. Need to start an envelope for it. Right after I buy my birdseed.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I don't understand why serving chowder in hot weather is controversial. To me it is a food of summer, and I think it would be the same for others from New England.

Yeah, as a transplanted New Englander, I'm totally OK with this idea.

Because books.

I think doing a classic, and doing it really well, is always okay, especially here, when they were trying to do a Food Across America! thing for the unit.

The pasta salad, though, just baffled me. *I* can make that. They chopped some vegetables and cooked some pasta. I mean, sure, it's a staple of most picnics and potlucks, but there's almost no way to make that *outstanding* and worthy of competition.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, that was mystifying.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

PR: Yay!

Exactly, sj! Good god, yes.

I find it interesting that both PR and TC had people from the winning group in the bottom in the same week.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

PR rocked. I can totally live with Magical Elves' new trick of having one person on a team be in the winner's ring, and the other on the bottom, because it's allowing the judges to really call people on bullshit.

But I still have no idea why I'm watching "Models of the Runway. It's insipid, yet I can't seem to look away.

Matar: You're adorable, but you had nothing to do with Erica being sent home. Basically, you just stood there and looked pretty. Which, really, is your job. Also, you don't get to feel worse than the model who was actually eliminated.

Fatma: Once again: Logan is gay. And he just not into you. get over it. And chill.

Whoever it was Fatma's in a feud with, because I've totally lost track of who's whom: Just. Deal. With. It. Already.

Koji: Call me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Totally. ESPECIALLY because jackass what's his name EXPLICITLY said he was going to coast and let Ra'mon do all the work!
