"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

so...ummm. SYTYDCism on on twitter mentioned they'd like to see Nick Lazzarini as a guest judge on the next season of SYTYCD. i responded saying: "the same @nicklazzarini that's badmouthed the show since he won? no thanks. i'd rather see @blakemcgrath." this morning i load tweetdeck and this pops up. i'm not sure he and i have the same definition of "badmouthing".

ooooh! y'all are going to be mortal enemies!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Oh my gosh, tiggy, that's awesome!

Why is Nick such a ridiculous diva? Like this show has ever been some bastion of artistic integrity. 19E shows are always more about TV than about art. Yes, even on SYTYCD season one. If the show had really been about rewarding America's best dancer rather than America's favorite dancer, Blake McGrath would've been your SYTYCD season one champion.

Totally agreed that I wouldn't want to let Nick anywhere near the judges table on the show. Blake would be excellent, but I think he's all tied up with SYTYCD Canada. Of former contestants, I'd love to have Travis on panel, especially now that he's also choreographing for the show.

PR: I was pretty surprised by the boot, but am happy to see it happen. That guy just thought way too much of himself.

I thought there was a pretty high level overall, although I need to watch the fashion show again because I barely saw some of the outfits, they went by so fast. The top 3 gown was gorgeous, but the top would definitely be a problem for someone with pregnancy boobs.

TC: Love this guy's commentary: [link]

haha! i'm rather shocked he bothered to say anything to me, actually. he must not get a lot of @ replies.

ever since i saw his reply, i've been sitting on my hands so i DON'T say this. i'm waffling on whether or not to reply at all.

Also, re TC, does anyone else find it weird that, if you win the quickfire challenge you get immunity and $15,000, but if you win the big challenge, you get nothing?

I thought that concept guy would stay, because usually bad execution is the kiss of death. Also they usually like a little of the crazy concept. His problem is that he didnt do the conceptual thing well.

Also, the other guy had that nightmare last time, so I thought that was another reason to let him go. I can't remember what concept guy did last week.

Because books.

Yes, absolutely. It seems really unbalanced this year. Immunity used to be the big win, and now ... walking away early with $15K doesn't suck, you know?

Also, the other guy had that nightmare last time, so I thought that was another reason to let him go. I can't remember what concept guy did last week.

I could have seen arguing it either way. I think it must have come down to how crazy and how poorly executed this concept was. I shudder to think how the panel would have reacted if they had known about the planned chicken thighs/jodhpurs.

I think that it came down to that the poorly executed outfit would have been great if it had been done well, but the concept idea was unsaveable.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Also, re TC, does anyone else find it weird that, if you win the quickfire challenge you get immunity and $15,000, but if you win the big challenge, you get nothing?

Definitely. It should be one or the other.
