I feel like they could have given her a hook closer to what she wanted to do originally than "Ten Dollar Dinners," but hell, I don't mind hearing about cheap recipes, so.

yeah. unfortunately, I think that they're kind of misleading with the concept. she said that the pie cost 4 something, but you have to buy the entire pound of bacon to use 4 slices, or the entire package of thyme to infuse a few sprigs in the cream.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cooking at home is cheap, but only if you do enough of it to use the spices and stuff up.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I meant to ask about SYTYCD - didn't they give a prize last year to second place? Was that just a one time thing for Katie?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They did, but they claimed they were giving prizes to the top male and top female. (in other words, they wouldn't have given it to Twitch) Don't know what happened this year.

Yep. I, of course, am rooting for the DC crew. I wasn't surprised that they were in the bottom 3, Shane was right, they were sloppy. They need to step it up, but their bottom 3 routine was tight. I hope that they will be okay.

of course, I love Vogue Explosion and the all girl crew (side note: Beat Freaks 4EVA!)

Was it on? I missed it!

I suspect that you miiiiiight be able to catch a rerun.

I thought there was a good mix of crews. Will be interesting to see how they react to the challenges.

Hick-Hop? Seriously? Their dancing was cool, but PLEASE get different costumes.

Vogue Evolution (I think it was Evolution) was fabulous.

Is the DC Crew the Beat Feet Kings (or something like that)? They really tightened up in the dance off. I didn't like their first routine.

yes. I thought that their first routine was messy, and I was disappointed, but they brought it later, so it's okay. Hopefully they will have seen the error of their ways.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

The DC crew was Beat Ya Feet Kings and I was very disappointed in them. That first routine looked like something your little cousins choreograph during a backyard BBQ. While I thought their DoD was better, I don't think they should've stayed over Fresh. Fresh was hot in their first routine and only wound up in the B3 because they were in by far the strongest group, IMHO. Given that they were also really tight in their DoD, they should have stayed. The PR/Cuban group is much, much worse than Fresh and yet they made it through because they were in an easier group.

I was also disappointed in Donyelle's all girl group. I like the idea of the group and they did have the most challenging choreography of the night, but they weren't clean. The execution was not on point at all. And the look was horrendous. Whoever put them in those shiny, spandex leggings and the wide belts is just . . . no. A world of no. I hope they get better because I looove Donyelle and the rest of the girls in the group obviously have talent.

Crews I loved: Rhythm City. The Boogie Down seriously represented. I thought they were amazing. So sharp and really clean with intricate choreography. Loved them. Vogue Evolution were fierce. They completely served. And the transgender woman and the larger man? To quote some early Lil Mama, "10, 10, 10, Shebam." I love them and everything about them.

Crews that have promise: Massive Monkeys. There have been so many great B-Boy crews on the show that this group is really going to have to step up it's game if they want to compete. That said, I thought the beginning of their routine was hot and they used the floor well. Southern Movement. The hick-hop thing is corny, but as Shane noted, they tore it up out there. Those kids can really dance and their DoD was fire. I really hope and pray that they leave the country shtick alone and just go out there and rip it because they have skills.

I did not enjoy all the sob stories last night. Every group was bad, but Fresh was especially bad. "If I don't make the show, I'll have to go to college." Jigga-what? Cry me a frikkin' river, girlie. I don't watch this show for that. All I care about is if you can dance.

The judges panel continues to be the best on competition reality TV.
