I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

She mixed 2 cups of unsweetened applesauce with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice and threw it in the freezer.

I feel like they could have given her a hook closer to what she wanted to do originally than "Ten Dollar Dinners," but hell, I don't mind hearing about cheap recipes, so.

I have a feeling both her original concept (easy for busy moms) and the one Alton gave her (sort of a kitchen 411) can and will be wrapped into this one pretty easily.

It was definitely a more watchable show than the Sandra Lee budget cooking one that immediately preceded it. (I watched a lot of Food Network this morning.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think 50's-era highway safety films are more watchable than anything Sandra Lee has ever done.

Because books.

When I see Sandra Lee on the screen, I shudder and change the channel immediately.

yeah. unfortunately, I think that they're kind of misleading with the concept. she said that the pie cost 4 something, but you have to buy the entire pound of bacon to use 4 slices, or the entire package of thyme to infuse a few sprigs in the cream.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cooking at home is cheap, but only if you do enough of it to use the spices and stuff up.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I meant to ask about SYTYCD - didn't they give a prize last year to second place? Was that just a one time thing for Katie?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They did, but they claimed they were giving prizes to the top male and top female. (in other words, they wouldn't have given it to Twitch) Don't know what happened this year.
