Anya: It's lovely! I wish it was mine! Oh like you weren't all thinking the same thing. Giles: I'm fairly certain I wasn't.

To every idea a shelf...

Clarification on white fonting... I posted a bunch of stuff about Inside Out in white font because not all of Australia has seen it yet, but I deleted it because I wasn't sure if that's considered spoiler taunting or something. Can I post in white font or should I wait until it has aired in all Aussie states?

Emlah, as far as I'm concerned there's no problem with you posting it here in whitefont. We're all used to being taunted!

Nobody

Oh. My. God. I completely forget Angel was on tonight. I never forget. I've done it exactly once before out of all 83 episodes. Fuckity god-damn exam stress.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

It's like listening to orchestra members bitching about how violin and viola are completely different instruments.

Very different. Very! Plus, it's viola, not voila, dammit!

Er, sorry.

The antipodes = the opposite end of the earth from where you are. So Antipodeans are at the opposite end of the earth from where the important people are (Europe).

I like this. It makes me feel all... important.

Swouncing

I learned this word thanks to "Alice in Wonderland":

"I wonder if I shall fall right through the earth! How funny it'll seem to come out among the people that walk with their heads downwards! The Antipathies, I think -- " (she was rather glad there was no one listening, this time, as it didn't sound at all the right word) " -- but I shall have to ask them what the name of the country is, you know. Please, Ma'am, is this New Zealand or Australia?" (and she tried to curtsey as she spoke -- fancy curtseying as you're falling through the air! Do you think you could manage it?) "And what an ignorant little girl she'll think me! No, it'll never do to ask: perhaps I shall see it written up somewhere."
