If I want to show someone the Willow/Oz arc in four, maybe five episodes, which ones should they be? I'm fairly sure I'll end with New Moon Rising, but I'm not sure where to begin.

That's tough . . . some of the best parts of the Willow/Oz arc stand alone in their respective episodes. Wild at Heart would be a necessity, and Phases is the first episode to really focus a lot of attention on it.

Phases, definately.
Umm, and choose several from WML 1 and 2, Beauty and the Beasts, Choices, Fear Itself, and Wild At Heart.
You pretty much need Phases and Wild at Heart to make any sense of New Moon Rising, but that's pretty heavy on the werewolfness, so it might be worth doing WML 1 and 2 which show Oz just being his cool Oz self.

Okay, so: Phases, Beauty and the Beasts, Choices, Wild at Heart, and New Moon Rising. That's five, they're spread fairly evenly through the seasons, thus giving me lead-ins to explain the other season arcs if needed, and should show off the good parts.

Yes. Surprise has the adorable "I'm going to ask you out"—"I said 'date,'" scene. And the kissing conversation that Matt cites above—although it is only a brief moment—is the most romantic exchange I have ever encountered in any medium. Truly.

This, with the Istanbul conversation, also taking place in the van, are the most touching bookends to a relationship I think I have ever seen or read. They did such a lovely job with Oz and Willow.
