Is a package store just, like, a 7-11 selling beer?
No. No other stuff, just wine, beer and liquor (okay, and lottery, and cigarettes, maybe a keychain or lighter, but still not a convenient store, unless it's convenient and...) Well, kinda, but not really. In MA, they don't sell alcohol in stores that aren't package or liquor stores.
Sophia - yes, it is a liquor store. In Boston we call 'em liquor stores or "packies". As in: I have to make a packy run. I never realized that was regional.

That's like Canada, then. Anything more exciting than beer (which isn't exciting, it's lifesblood) or Cold Duck (soo incredibly unexciting) is sold at a goverment store.
I didn't notice that it was weird to have a liqour store attatched to an Albertson's or what have you until I moved here.

In Ontario, that goes for the beer too. Or at least it used to.
I learned "package store" when someone on the street in Montreal asked where to find one - only our friend visiting from Georgia knew what it meant. Though I guess it's not that hard to figure out.

It goes for both beer and wine in Mass, as well as actual liquor.

Daniel, can I just ask where you got the shooting script thing from? Cause Psyche's site seems to be down, and I'm going into shooting script withdrawl.(Which I can't spell)
I got it from Shrift's site.
Daniel, maybe you shouldn't leave link out there in the open like that.
I think shrift prefers to handle this via email. helemtm, just email shrift and she'll set you up.
Thanks, Daniel. I have e-mailed Shrift, thanks Hec.
Now, does anyone know where I could get transcripts of the DVD commentaries?

I've seen some of them out there, but I don't have any links.
Yes. What they should have done, was raise the driving age.
Not enough Wrod in Wrodville for this. And I speak as a person who was driving at 16 and just SUCKED at it for a really long time until I didn't suck at it anymore and so got cocky. And, all in all? A fairly responsible young girl on the whole -- still shouldn'ta been driving.
When I came to DC for school, I was grandfathered in for 18 being allowed to drink wine and beer, but needed to be 21 for hard liquor (they weren't very strict back then, lemme tellya'). I think (though I wouldn't bet kittens or money on it), that a year or two before that it was 18 for everything. By the time I was 21, 21 was the drinking age for everything and there were no more grandfatherees.
And, in Delaware, you by all liquor of any sort in liquor stores. Nothing in the grocery stores (I remember thinking how weird it was to be able to buy wine and beer at Safeway when I moved to DC -- now I can't get over what a pain in the ass it is to have to go to a liquor store for a bottle of wine when I'm visiting Delaware). Not sure about 7-11 type places, but I kind of think they don't sell liquor in Del. there either. Pretty sure that's the case.
Ummm ... and threadwise ... Oh, hell. It's late. I got nothin'.
