brillig

he said that he Jossed himself on Fray canon with the whole multiple Slayers thing.

See? He's just a fic-writer with a better budget. He's got the same problems we do. At least, that's what I tell myself in the middle of the night when I glare at the script transcripts that contradict a plot point I wrote two years ago.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

See, it's been established for a while now that while Willow is Large With The Power, she's NSM with the Thinking Shit Through Beforehand.

Seems a bit harsh. The spell was Buffy's idea, not Willow's.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

There's also the possibility that the Slayer power isn't so much a set charge of power passed from one girl to another as an alteration that allows the Chosen One to constantly draw magical power from the ether and enhance her physical abilities. That take on it would explain why Kendra and Faith didn't negatively impact Buffy's might.

Plus, the world was ending. It's do this spell or let evil win. Don't be hating on Willow!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I've never been a big Willow fan. She brings out my inner bully and I want to stuff her in a locker every time I see her.

There. I've said it. That was so freeing.

Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

It might not necessarily apply to this spell, but Willow has earned her 'not-thinking-things-through' stripes. How anyone can spend three months planning to bring someone back from the dead, and not once consider the possibility that they might not be in a hell dimension... Anyway, very interesting takes on what's happened to the Slayer power.

I didn't like dorky Season 1-3 Willow. When she hooked up with a girl, she got a lot more interesting to me :) By the end of the series, I loved her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Love early Willow and would be obliged to tie Allyson's hair into a bulgy knot and hang her from a coat rack if she tried to stuff Willow into a locker.

I loved early Willow so much. I started watching the show because I loved her arc in Halloween - the geeky girl forced to be sexy and realizing she *could* be sexy but would rather be smart and funny. It's why I watched a second episode (and Spike).

I grew cold toward her in S5-6. It had nothing to do with the going gay. I just missed old Willow and couldn't get used to the new one. And they pretty much finished up her up with Dark!Willow (which, as a villain, I thought was awesome). And she just felt like unuseful furniture in S7.

Here is a weird thing. I never liked Tara all that much until I read a lot of great Tara-centric fic. Then I re-watched S4-6 and Tara became one of my favorite characters.
