closed yes, for an as yet unspecified amount of time, but 6 months is the number that has been mentioned the most and was what I thought we were going to do before the voting method started. Also mentioned at the time and since then were 3 months and 1 year.

When we first started this whole voting thing, our ultimate goal was to be able to close discussions and not have them over and over and over and over....

OK, so this is just a minimum period of time, right? We wouldn't have to revisit anything, right? I'd say give it three and six months. A year is like forever in internet time.

Me? I can't say for sure yet. A year seems too long for me, but I can't tell if three or six months would be better.
I can see the benefit in making things go away for six, considering sometimes dicussion can be heated, but six months is a lot of virtual time. Heck, six months is a lot of time IRL.
