Glad you got out when you did, Calli.
Sending all the healthy vibes to your step-dad, sj.
The sun has finally broken through the gray skies (after more than a week) and it is very welcome to see.
I spent the morning with EM plowing through a pile of onerosity.
The problem with sending emails and texts is that they respond and you have more tasks to do. But things are getting done.
I'm finally forced to deal with the corroding Juliet balconies on the front of my building because a chunk fell off. Can't have ironwork falling on people. So my contractor is coming by today to remove some dangling bits, and we'll have to remove both balconies completely as they are a hazard.
Ultimately I'll put up some other decorative ironwork but this is more urgent.
Matilda is meeting with her academic counselor and I'm trying figure out how to pay her tuition directly out of her 529 account.
I'm trying figure out how to pay her tuition directly out of her 529 account.
You would think that would be super easy since that is what those things are for, but it would not surprise me to learn that it is not
Bummer about the balconies, but I'm sure you'll come up with something good to replace them eventually

I did find it eventually, and they did answer my question by email.
But it was on their online brochure not through their main website or in their payment information forms.
Poor design! But I think they use an outside vendor to process the payments.
I hope your stepdad has a smooth recovery, sj.
I got my car back! For those playing along, it went into the shop on June 27th.
Lest anyone worry, I am at sufficient elevation to be well out of the tsunami danger zone
I hope everyone stays safe from tsunami and if anything is destroyed it is mark zuckerberg’s land.
Goodness. Tsunami~ma for the west coasters.
8.8! I hope everyone finds high ground.

I just thought when I said "DON'T SEND THIS TO THE CLIENT YET," that my coworkers might read it.
