We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I hope your stepdad has a smooth recovery, sj.

I got my car back! For those playing along, it went into the shop on June 27th.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, Debet!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

People don't read. I have been a tech writer for 25+ years, and I know that. People don't read.

I just thought when I said "DON'T SEND THIS TO THE CLIENT YET," that my coworkers might read it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My sister came to look after mom so I ran away from home for a week.

First I went down the shore and spent time with my extended family in our natural habitat - crammed into a beach house. Only we weren't so crammed as this was a particularly large house which was a real treat. The weather was beautiful. The water was beautiful. Grilling abounded. Four of the cousins have twelve year old sons now and one of my uncles got a little tipsy and kept (intentionally) winding them up with double entendres. It was wonderful.

Second half of the vacation I went up to Halifax for a 30° temperature drop and some basic civil liberties. So that was fun! I visited with Anita & Bryan and Sue (totally blanking on board names) who remain delightful people.

I came back to the office on Tuesday so I missed the second shooting in seven months near my swanky midtown office. I was up in my "bad" neighborhood doing this:

The series is free, but I have a membership so I'm guaranteed a seat and, you know, supporting the arts in the nabe. Its a HamilTEN celebration - they have an interview and a song with some member(s) of the original Broadway cast and show some other project of theirs on the 50 foot screen. Its solidly amazing.
