I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

Our wings are not tired.

I am back in Otter Lake. The day of travel from Ohio was much smoother. Still, my body took issue with the whole trip. This time it was the shoulder and hands that hurt. I'm pacing myself today as I attack the entire house cleaning and organizing thing.

Four weeks on the new diet and I've lost 7 pounds. Some of that may be the difference in location. The scale is always friendlier to me in the mountains as opposed to sea level. I'll see what the difference is when I fly back for a visit next month.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Dicky Lovelady is looking pretty limp in his first appearance for the Mets.

Always Anti-fascist!

maybe it's one of those ironic nicknames...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good work! My scale is five pounds off from the one at my doctor's office, so I mentally have to adjust.

Personal Ozempic Report: I've lost 27 lbs in 3 months. First month at 0.5mg, then two months at .75. And I upped to 1mg for this month.

Excepting the birthday cake and celebratory pizza I've been eating well.

No Pilates next week as the studio is closed for summer break and equipment maintenance. I'll have to do some running while it's down.

I've been enjoying having my niece out this week, but that has been accompanied with lots of going out to dinner, so I'll probably be austere for a week after she's gone to get back in the groove.

My birthday was fun and low key. Made both kids and niece watch Local Hero with me and they enjoyed it. I told Emmett (a Star Wars nerd) to pay attention to the cast because one of the main characters was in the first movie. Then I got to tell him that Denis Lawson was no only Gordon in Local Hero, but Wedge Antilles in Star Wars, and that Lawson was also the real life uncle of Ewan McGregor.

I heard he was being sent down for hot prospect Cox Cumpleaser.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Local Hero

Did he recognize the 12th Doctor?

Did he recognize anyone else in the cast?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I’ve done jack all on my cleaning list.

Groceries were achieved and I’ve knitted.

Eta, Posting that immediately shamed me into starting the roomba. The least effort of the cleaning, which will allow me to sit and knit more while the temp can drop more.

He's not a Whovian. His nerd realms are: Star Wars, LotR (books and films) and D&D. With some anime.

But he and my niece recognized Peter Reigart from The Mask (not Animal House).

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Belated Birthday to all I missed this week!

We did a one-night overnight with Mr. S this weekend.(We had commitments until 5 on Friday.) It was..not great. No 911 calls, no complete meltdowns, but he didn't go to sleep until after 11:30. He, of course, woke us up at 5 because he was hungry, and he needed someone to go down the stairs with him. He woke us up a couple times after that, and we eventually got out of bed at 9:20. (He ended up taking a long nap after breakfast. sigh)
