Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Jobma to all who need it!

I went into SF for dinner & some tv (OFMD) with friends, and it's shocking to realize I used to do this every week. It's such an exhausting hassle! OTOH I left the Tornado out of her crate and she appears to not have destroyed anything. So, baby steps for her.

Work is just busting my ass and I have a problem.

Who here is an ADA expert? I have an employee who should get a reasonable accommodation for not returning to office, but his doctor is an asshole and signed the form saying he doesn't have a disability. Can my employee get another opinion? The agency would like to see more documentation than just me saying the accommodataion is appropriate, if you catch my drift. But if he doesn't get it, I fear we will lose him...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had Jury Duty on Wednesday -- which turned out to be waiting around for about 4 hours, as all-but-one of the dozen-plus trials were negotiated away. They only called #1-#34 jury pool members for the one that was happening, I was #68, so I had a little bit of trepidation as I'd probably be in the next tranch.

But, as it turned out, all I got was the ability to go home way earlier than I do on a regular workday.

Forgot this is a three day weekend, but inasmuch as I have no life, I'll work on Monday.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like something Scrappy might now, Suela. I cannot help but I wish you luck

Was about due to trip cat food yesterday so I stopped at Raley’s on the way home. They were cleaned out of everything but individual cans and, like, Fancy Feast. Are people stocking up on cat food because of tariffs? Or something? Anyway, I got a few individual cans in flavors that don’t come in the cases I usually get thinking Miss Kitty would appreciate the variety and she apparently hates all of them. So that’s good to know. Went to Walmart to get our usual couple of cases as well, (and those shelves looked normal so my panic-buying theory probably does not hold up) she won’t starve any time soon

Happy getting dismissed from jury duty after four hours week, Theo! How funny that we both got to serve in such similarly minimal ways

Our wings are not tired.

Guys. Husband signed an offer letter on Monday that was contingent on several years' contract coming through to the company... and he just found out it did!

What a relief! Continued job~ma for you, JenP.

I just had a weird thing happen where a guy who appeared to be a Mormon missionary knocked at my door and asked if I knew any neighbors who spoke Spanish.

missionaries do that, I think, but this doesn't feel like a good time to be all "You want the Garcias down the street."(Also, I wouldn't sic missionaries on someone either...I've talked to too many.)

Sounds sketch to me, Matt. I have to say I agree with erikaj on this one.

I have to think twice when I type erikaj because I have two office managers with similar spellings of Erica, and Ericka. I also have an office manager named Sherryl, which makes me have to think twice.

Continued job~ma for Calli. It is better to have some time for things to work out, but still a weight. May it happen with time to spare.

Yay for storming the Big Apple! Enjoy. If I've watched Man From U.N.C.L.E., then I don't remember it, so I'll have to put it on the list.

Consuela, I am no ADA expert, but it seems like he could get another opinion. Did he submit the form that says he isn't disabled?

Wow, Memorial Day weekend. This means I have to think about going north. Rough plan is DH flying up in advance of me, with the cat. Then my sister is flying down to visit the other sibs and drive north with me, visiting various cousins along the way with only Skinner to deal with. The cat is much happier in Otter Lake because she gets a cat door to go outside. She goes on my balcony here to sunbathe and watch the world go by, but condo life isn't her favorite. She has always only used a litter box as a last resort when the great outdoors is an option, which is also a plus for me.
