I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That’s pretty cool, Calli. Will make future messing about in boats even more satisfying, I would guess

I am logged into work but having a hard time remembering what my job even is.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

-t , same same same.

Per my post on BS, I think my job now is just posting what I’d rather be doing than my job.

I was off all last week after the carpal tunnel surgery, and my editing brain is taking a while to get back into the swing of things today.

Our wings are not tired.

How is the recovery going, Teppy?

I am trying to do my job but my internet keeps dropping and I don’t know why and it is very annoying. Argh. Monday morning is not the right time for this.

Pretty well. My wrist area is sore, but ice really helps. My fingers are still numb, but the surgeon warned me that could take months to resolve, because nerves do regrow, but they regrow verrrry slowly. Basically recovery has been uneventful, which is a real medical term that means "totally normal with no problems." You really don't want events of any kind during recovery.

Uneventful, FTW!

In bro news, my brother remains very frail, but the chemo and radiation eliminated the tumor in his esophagus, and he is learning to eat again. He still has the feeding tube, but he had a slice of meatloaf and cottage cheese yesterday! He hadn't even been able to drink water, so this is great. It is super slow going, but he is delighted to eat real food. Bad news is that in one (or more) of his falls, he has torn his rotator cuff in a couple of areas. The surgeon says he isn't strong enough for surgery, so they gave him a shot for the pain and are immobilizing the arm. They also want to do surgery for the unrelated tumor in his lung, but that isn't urgent. Yes, since he is feeling a bit better, he is smoking more again. Sigh.

Yay uneventful! More things should be uneventful
