I just want to know if it's going to be too gory for me. Everything else about it looks VERY much up my alley, but am I going to be too squeamish to enjoy any of it?

Somebody told me it was Lost Boys level of scary and gory. But I can’t personally attest to that. PMM?
Hmm. I'm trying to remember how gory Lost Boys is. (Which, considering I've seen Lost Boys somewhat recently, I should recall, yet don't.)
I mean, there's certainly gore in Sinners, as well as some jump scares, but I'm not sure I'm the best judge of what counts as gory, as I would say it's not gratuitously gory? IDK.
It’s hard for me to see lost boys as particularly scary or gory at all because it’s one of those comforting movies that I can throw on anytime. But I think when it came out it was pretty intense.
Well, a very brief excerpt from my dear housemate's "exit interview" from HHS wound up on John Oliver last night: [link] (the relevant excerpt is from 3:12 to 3:42.)
Not really how I wanted him to get his thirty seconds of Internet fame, but what can you do?
I do really love that he wore that shirt to work on the day, though.
The Thomas Crown Affair
Steve McQueen or Pierce Brosnan?
McQueen
I realized I hadn’t seen any of his films.
Without actually clicking on the link, Karl, I did just watch that episode and remember a delightful shirt. Your poor housemate come off like a mensch imo, fwtw
well, babe, better John Oliver than the Darwin Awards.
My dog loves me a lot but he absolutely would be like “oh no, I have no mother….hello nice stranger will you be my mother?” And they would say yes of course!
I tried to steal a dog today on the bus. It was a pittie and I think corgi mix and it was SO CUTE.
My anxiety dream was literally figuring out I was losing my job and saying to my coworking instructional designers "we are losing our jobs". I don't have a master's or doctorate in education, and I am so vulnerable. We have so many faculty who are instructional designers as well and it can be added to their workload. We are on a hiring freeze, so I am not just going to be able to be easily able to get a secretary job. To note this is not actually happening and I am holding Open Course Copy Hours thanked by my boss, but I am worried!
