Easy recovery!
Welp after 4 days off and a pretty lazy weekend, I’ve done 2.5 hours of work and I really feel that should be enough.
I got into a good movie watching/knitting groove yesterday and this work thing is derailing it.
Movies watched yesterday:
Dr. Zhivago
The Thomas Crown Affair
In the Heights
Mmmm... hash browns.
Helped DH refine the resume this morning and now swimming. Then work from the library, I'm still thinking.
So the movies thread is pretty dead, but anyone want to hop over there and talk Sinners with me?
I still need to get myself to a theater for Sinners. Maybe tomorrow.
My friend just suggested we go see it, but we can't until the weekend after this.
I just want to know if it's going to be too gory for me. Everything else about it looks VERY much up my alley, but am I going to be too squeamish to enjoy any of it?
Somebody told me it was Lost Boys level of scary and gory. But I can’t personally attest to that. PMM?
Hmm. I'm trying to remember how gory Lost Boys is. (Which, considering I've seen Lost Boys somewhat recently, I should recall, yet don't.)
I mean, there's certainly gore in Sinners, as well as
some jump scares, but I'm not sure I'm the best judge of what counts as gory, as I would say it's not gratuitously gory? IDK.
It’s hard for me to see lost boys as particularly scary or gory at all because it’s one of those comforting movies that I can throw on anytime. But I think when it came out it was pretty intense.
Well, a very brief excerpt from my dear housemate's "exit interview" from HHS wound up on John Oliver last night: [link] (the relevant excerpt is from 3:12 to 3:42.)
Not really how I wanted him to get his thirty seconds of Internet fame, but what can you do?
I do really love that he wore that shirt to work on the day, though.
