Hmm, I had weird international travel mishaps nightmares last night. But also feel like I slept decently well? Who knows. It may be affected by the fact that I had my morning coffee, and then my friend came to get my dog and gave me a Vietnamese iced coffee. …that’s a lot of caffeine.

Also, I am very annoyed to be hitting some perimenopause bullshit.

my last period was almost 3 weeks late, which was weird, as they’ve been pretty regular within a few days. But thst was only 2 weeks ago and now I have it AGAIN? this is dumb.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Adding a Chihuahua to a house full of people who are quitting smoking seems like asking for trouble. But I really hope he adjusts and comes around to you quickly askye.

Our wings are not tired.

Perimenopause does suck. In fact, I’m still convinced that whoever designed these human bodies was on crack or something, definitely needed to take a little bit more time to get the flaws out.

I went to the doctor today and got all the drugs. Hopefully, I’ll be feeling better by Monday, when my sister arrives. This cough does not want to go away.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Chihuahuas are pretty well known for being one-person dogs and disliking everyone else, aren't they? You'd think a pet with all the wilderness survival capability of a Guinea pig might be motivated to curry favor with as many potential providers and protectors as possible.

My dog loves me a lot but he absolutely would be like “oh no, I have no mother….hello nice stranger will you be my mother?” And they would say yes of course!

Our wings are not tired.

Skinner is quite devoted to me, but will abandon me in a moment to anyone with a treat. A complete stranger who opens the car door and asks him if he wants to go for a ride would have Skinner forever. On the rare occasions when he doesn't like someone I know there is something up there.

Punishingly Intricate

CB doesn’t like everyone unreservedly, and she’s often shy when someone first meets her (especially kids and men) but she has a bunch of people she likes as much if not more than, us.

Askye, sitting quietly and ignoring the dog and letting her approach might work. And, like others said, giving her food (can you ask M’s mom to let you handle feeding her for a few days, maybe?)

Woe to the fucking wicked.

My weird anxiety dream was that I was the show runner on a new Star Trek series, but I had no concept for the series. But I distinctly remember wanting to really sell Luxury Gay Space Communism

Gee, I wonder why everyone seems to be having stress dreams...

I had weird post apocalypse dreams about having colonized a grocery store? It was odd. And then I dreamt about being at a wedding and people were dancing and it was fun and all…and then I realized I hadn’t gotten to eat any of the cupcakes (there were tons of them in lieu of cake?) and was v disappointed when I found out they’d all been put away. Oddly I did not wake up hungry for breakfast, though if a cupcake showed up I’d probably go for it.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Rain overnight, it is a wet and drippy morning, and I have a new visitor -- a somewhat bedraggled juvenile downy woodpecker showed up on my little balcony, trying out the suet feeder.

Can fly, but not very well. Can clamber around the soft pine of the balcony rails, but not skillfully. The tailfeathers are still too short to do a good job of bracing any vertical poses. [link]

I like to think it is a chick of the adult pair who have been entertaining me all winter.
