I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay apple reviews!

I got Pfizer most recently and didn’t have any problems, barely even a sore arm, but that was right before the new fall vax got released so probably not indicative of anything. I’ll try to get another in November

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Mine was the Pfizer, dcp. I don't recall my reaction being as strong with Moderna last year, but it could be the formulation for the year rather than the particular vaccine. Maybe RFK is having them add roadkill demi-glace to every batch?

At any rate I feel fine today, woke up with normal energy levels and just a hint of soreness left at the injection site.

It's actually been a really hard year, when you stop and do the math. Eliot would cry, too, if it didn't take him seventy minutes of therapy, two cocktails, and a Sondheim medley before he can experience a human emotion through the haze of his PTSD.

Superpowers would be better.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I cleaned the Guinea Pig cage after avoiding it all weekend.

I want a gold star.

In other horrible house news, I am fighting a losing rearguard action against a fruit fly/sink fly invasion.

Yes, I'm putting degunking stuff down the pipes. Yes, I've got traps out. Yes I've put all of the produce in the fridge and cleaned out dead pants.

It's awful.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

we have not had that, but some springs we get beaucoup gnats. Today is already horrifying and I want to take it back.

This too shall pass.

Many gold stars for the efforts! I'm sorry you have had to deal with the pesty pests for so long.

It's enraging to watch a fruit fly just blithely fly right past the fruit fly trap. Go to your demise, invader!

Right? I'll murderize a dozen on the wall and then one just zooms up in my face.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

These are friggin' magical for fruit flies. [link]
