Xander: Look who's got a bad case of Dark Prince envy. Dracula: Leave us. Xander: No, we're not going to "Leabbb you." And where'd you get that accent, Sesame Street? "One, Two, Three - three victims! Maw ha ha!"

Our wings are not tired.

Good grief, meara. I hope there is an option for you to already have the part and just pay for a service call.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's bonkers, meara! Unless the price for the part includes the labor and everything for the repair somehow? Which doesn't seem like a sensible way to do things, but it's all I can think of.

My mom's primary PT came to the house yesterday, so she has some more exercises to do. He asked how the fall happened and she told him the whole story and he said something like "oh, it was a freak accident" which was gratifying and then my dad pointed out the hole in the wall from the top of the stairs which made him say "Holy cow" which was also gratifying. Now that everyone has seen the hole and taken pictures, Mom does want to fix it, btw. Maybe still a plaque, we'll see.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Maybe still a plaque
A soft plaque, just in case.

Our wings are not tired

I had a friend who put a hole in his wall and he just hung an empty frame around the hole and called it a holy artifact.

That was Mom's original suggestion

Love that.

OK, so this will mean something probably only to Steph and -t, particularly if you've listened to Midnight Burger Shift Notes and/or the Hwat! podcasts -- I just signed off a co-working session with my friend Dave with a, "Byeeeee!" as they often do over there. Not normal behavior for me. They are infiltrating my brain.

Awww. I haven't totally immersed myself in Shift Notes or Hwat! yet, but I've listened to a few here and there and I already recognize the Byeeee!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

EM came over this morning and was tasked with prodding my executive function.

I had to do nothing but adult shit!

I dealt with a mortgage, insurance and bug extermination. Emails and calls and paper work!

Who's got the maturity for all that?

It's birthday week for my kinder. Emmett turns 30 tomorrow, which means you have been watching him grow up for a long time. Matilda turns 20 on Saturday.

We'll all be going out to dinner together at our new favorite family place, Parc Bistro.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

NOPE. Unacceptable. Those two are both TINY BABIES.
