"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

I know that people from high school check in on Classmates, but I've waited so long to reunion that I'm now at the See Who's Alive portion--once again, it'll probably a big "Psych!" that I'm on the list, but I think that's a lot of money for a chick with not a lot of old times memories and, frankly, not a lot to brag about. Maybe I could buy Classmates again, though-- I'd like to say "Hi!"==they were pretty nice, but it was like being the exchange student from Criponia, not like having a gang. Or even a posse, which was not yet passe in high school and might have put me on-point or even AHEAD of the curve if I'd claimed it then.(I wish I'd had disabled Pink Ladies, really.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am eating a nectarine that has been sitting on the counter and is probably too ripe for some people's tastes. AIFG

I enjoy that, T, but it gets sloppy. Ate some antipasto from a local place that gets local lettuce Hit the spot.(I have kind of a small salad spot, but I do have one. Although cucumbers in vinegar is sort of a salad, right? we eat a lot of those.

Totes messy, but I had a saucer to catch the juice from the slices and a handy napkin for what got on me, so not lastingly.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Hummingbird activity at my feeder was late to start this season, and has been much less frequent than usual. It is only now starting to pick up.

Just now, for the first time in 19 years at this location, I witnessed a brief and uneasy détente -- two hummingbirds feeding at the same time. I hope it starts happening more often now.

I am delighted.

Our wings are not tired.

I can't have any bird feeders, hummingbird or other, because they attract bears, which is an issue around here. Also, a torment for my cat and/or the birds.

DH has been super productive here, tearing out the old shed, and now has plans for a new one, as well as a large backyard desk. Need to move the fire pit over some. Also, plans to add a hot tub on the deck. My hope is that he is here enough to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I went to my 5 year high school reunion because it was Thanksgiving weekend and I was still spending the holiday with my folks. Haven't been to any since. Not like I had a lot of friends to keep in touch with anyhow.

There was some talk of multiple years getting together for my approximate 10-year reunion, I think, but I never really planned to go. Hadn't heard about any others until this year, which doesn't mean they didn't happen without me. I have no other reason to go to that area so I haven't gone looking for them. AFAICT, though, we alumni are just not very active.

I was thinking I would go find one of the no fee co-op ATMs that are supposed to be nearby and maybe hit a food truck or something for lunch but I looked on Door Dash to get restaurant ideas and now I have one of those infamous $20 burritos on the way. It's shrimp and al pastor in a spinach tortilla.
