A gunman who was staying at the hotel tried to shoot his way into the Correspondents Dinner. He never made it into the main room and no one died, not even the gunman. While folks on Bluesky gave journalists who planned to attend a lot of flack before the event, the journalists were certainly on hand for a heck of a story.

Im so tired. Im on day 5 of 6 at work. I am sore because we have been going flat out after inventory and I spent almost all day Thursday and Friday going up and down the topstock ladder. It's 3 steps but multiple that by ...who knows how many times.
Plus I'm not sleeping well . Last night I got like 4 hours of non consecutive sleep. Or maybe 5.
One more day. And then I'll be off Tuesday -Saturday. With a quick trip to see E as the Grinch in his school musical

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.
Yeah, not feeling shocked that a President this unpopular who's tanking the economy in ways felt most keenly by blue collar workers and the unemployed might be facing more than the usual amount of, shall we say, energetic expressions of disapproval.
Mind you, I am intensely skeptical that the Butler PA rally was a legitimate assassination attempt, or at least that Cheetolini believes it was. The man can't shut up about people he disagreed with more than a decade ago—if he sincerely thought Crooks had tried to kill him we wouldn't hear the end of it in his lifetime.

Doing the quintessential New Orleans thing and doing laundry at Igor’s. The hotel said it had laundry services but it lied. The crowd at 7 am is ok other than the few that are unsettlingly friendly. Anyway, figured having a last known location on record might be the responsible thing to do…
