So glad you found the kind, helpful person, sj. I will always send extra good karma vibes to those people as I pass through this life.

Grateful to see Nilly and Shir.

Nineteen years of age? You're quite sure?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The US healthcare system is horrific. Cool to spend billions on senseless wars, but leave our health in the hands of profit-making centers.

To be fair, the point of the healthcare system is to make as much profit as possible, so unfortunately they are similar in that horror.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The healthcare system is horrific we recently had to spend 14 hours in the children’s section of the er for a relatively minor issue but the amount of really sick babies there who also had to wait that long was just horrifying.

Um, the twins are in college? What kind of timey whimey craziness is that?!? I hope they’re doing well!

Twins in college is bananas. But in a much better way than the madness of the Us healthcare system.

I’m glad your meds problem was mostly resolved, sj. Dcp, I hope yours is also fixed soon.

I had my interview yesterday, and I was told they’ll get back to me one way or another in about two weeks. So thanks for the ~ma, y’all. I have no idea how things went. There were two interviewers, one of whom seemed pretty grumpy. But he was grumpy when I got there so it probably wasn’t about me. Grumpasaurous aside, everyone else I saw in the halls seemed to be in a good mood, and the offices seemed reasonably well kept.

That sounds promising, Calli. I wish you luck!

I’m off to the blood center to try donating plasma. I do still have a cough, not sure if they’ll want me to reschedule. Apparently AB+ is the universal donor for plasma, so now that I know that I feel a responsibility to make mine available. I don’t even know what they use plasma for, but I’m sure it’s good things…

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Apparently AB+ is the universal donor for plasma

I am also AB+

My understanding is that AB+ can receive AB+ whole blood, but none of the other blood types can receive it. Therefore, the only part of the donation useful to those other blood types is just the plasma.

Thrive to spite them

I hate our healthcare system. The mom of a coworker, R (I like her she's one of my faves to work with) just got diagnosed with lymphoma but stage 1. She had her first chemo treatment yesterday but her BP dropped and she passed out so she was taken to the ER and they want to admit her but there are no beds open so she has been in the ER for over a day at this point.

I can't believe the twins are 19! But E will be 18 in August. Eighteen!!! I can't believe it. He is supposed to come for a quick spring break visit so fingers crossed he will be able to get through TSA ok. His flight gets in around midnight so M and I will get him. From Asheville not from Spartanburg thankfully.

And then at the end of April he is going to be in his second musical. Susecial the Musical. He's the Grinch, a fish and something else. Mom and I and maybe M if he thinks his back can handle it are going to go . It will be a very quick turn around which sucks but I only have so much PTO to use.

Oh and I was Employee of the Month for Feb. I think it only took this long because I hadn't been able to get my points down. So that was nice.
