If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I registered for Sat./Sun. and plan to stay at the hotel Friday and Saturday nights. So, I'll be there Friday night, but I won't be doing the reception or puzzles-for-fun that night. I hope what I'm doing Friday night is having dinner with some of you people!

Same! Also, for anyone thinking of joining, it looks like several of us are at the Stamford Hotel rather than the Marriott.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

Hey, has anyone here gone on an Amtrak vacation to NYC? If so, how was it in terms of getting transportation from the train station to and from the hotel and attractions?

hwæt

Penn Station is probably the easiest place to get transportation in the western hemisphere. It’s maybe slightly annoying to get to certain places on the East Side, but that’s only relatively speaking. If you really don’t want to take the subway, there will in all likelihood be cabs waiting for you outside.

Punishingly Intricate

I always initially walk the wrong way on exiting Penn Station, it’s like an NYC tradition for me. But, yeah, like Tom says it’s super easy to get anywhere from there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, crap, time has passed and I need to do my appraisal today. It's only 6 bullet points, but that's more than I want to do

Our wings are not tired.

Hey, just a reminder to anyone planning on going to the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament in April (Fri. 4/10-Sun. 4/12)... past attendees can register starting today, and first-timers can register beginning Jan. 8th.

I should be around. I’ll be out of the country the weekend before (destination wedding) but should be back! Yay for seeing peeps again!

ETA: I meant to say this earlier - my thoughts are with you, meara.

Yep! It’s in St Thomas! I’ve never been to the Virgin Islands.
