Ginger, salt the fucking earth. Jaysus. Much pissyass love to you. I'm glad Zen is there.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I treated myself to dinner out at the nearby fine dining restaurant tonight as they've been advertising beef marrow all week. It was delicious, and for once I was at a place where the live music actually involved playing songs I'm fond of. (It was a solo guitarist who played Elvis, the Eagles, and Gerry Rafferty.)
Eat all the salt. If there is any left over, then use to salt and burn frustrating medical professionals?
Kill them all Ginger! Or have Zen do it for you (so glad she's there!!!)
If it will entertain you--I did end up texting the girl. She texted back, we went back and forth but my initial text asked if she wanted to grab a drink or have a little fun. She didn't answer that part. We were both happening to go to the same show tonight. I chatted her up s bit there, then she and her friends disappeared and I figured it was a bust (and she was just texting to...be nice??). And then my friend and I decided to leave...at which point girl texts me and says I should come to the club she and her friend are at, and dance with her. Uh, ok! So we do. And...nada. She acts as though she has no idea why I came there (I literally said "so did I just come here to dance?" And she acted like she didn't know what I meant. So eventually I just left. Ugh. Women.)
Wonderful to hear that Zen was able to be there for F2F venting. Have some hard salami and cheese and lots of olives for snacks. Soy sauce is lovely salty goodness too.
My mom is not supposed to drink water. Vegetable juice or sports drinks. People who work outside here take salt pills but that may just help with the sweat loss type of low sodium.
Ugh, meara. Girls are supposed to wanna have fun, not just dance the night away.
My dad has been on fluid restriction to correct low sodium for about 8 years; it's what made him clinically depressed and then insanely anxious for about a month. He seems to deal with it pretty well (WAY better than I would), but he doesn't move around much and is the most cold-natured person I've ever met, so getting thirsty from being hot isn't an issue.
Ugh, Ginger. I am sorry that your oncologist is a git. Glad Zen is there.
sara, sorry for the sick. Knew it was inevitable, but still.
suela, your dog is gorgeous.
We tried to take Penny running at the Rose Bowl yesterday. It was a fail. If our group didn't stick together, she would stop until the group caught up. She is decidedly a pack animal.
Ginger, I'm sorry about the Oncologist, but I'm so relieved Zenkitty is there with you.
If our group didn't stick together, she would stop until the group caught up.
Aw. Walter likes to keep the herd together, but if we're running he likes to be out in front.
Bummer, meara.
