sara, would that mean you would stop working for your contractor?
If that is so, I will throw the damned going-away party myself! BFE corporation.

Yes. It's complicated. Not really sure how it is all shaking out.
I've got to think through this and figure out politics. My boss is panicked over my contract boss leaving us to retire and I'm pretty much next in line in her panic path. I've been ...difficult... this year, but everyone is screwed if I depart. So. I don't want to poison the well.
Ugh that's hard sarameg, but getting away from the awful is pretty dang appealing.
back to filling in little circles on paper ballots which are then scanned. I guess because that's less likely to be hacked?
I think so, yes, but I'm not a programmer. LA has stuck with the paper ballots with inked-in bubbles.
It turns out I am done giving a shit today. I hope there's no crap left lying around that I need to pick up before I go to bed.
Hope all that shakes out to the good for you one way or another, sarameg
I'm not part of a city! Yay!
Mr Peabody thinks there's something alive in the office in addition to him and me. He is now destroying a box to get at whatever it is. I do not want him to be right.
Man, fucking Houston voters.
And yes, Maria, profile is good.
Oy, sara. I applaud your desire not to burn the entire bridge. It would be nice to see you less stressed though.
Burrell, I find wine is great for those times I don't give a shit.
Yay, Ginger! Mr Peabody, please don't gift your human with anything except love and affection.
Dana, insent. Lemme guess, no human rights for anyone except white, male, Republican Texans?
I like to think the pro-city people lost the last 150 votes with the last-minute flyer that used a dark photo of Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed to threaten voters in neighborhoods near Atlanta that if they didn't vote for cityhood, their neighborhoods would be annexed by the scary black man. The icing on the cake: it misspelled the Toco Hills neighborhood Tocco Hills throughout.
The ballot consisted of six judicial positions, five of which were uncontested.
I've thought that it makes exactly as much sense to elect judges as to elect Brain Surgeons.
As to the Ohio Pot initiative. I suspect a lot of the "no" vote was based on the belief that as written in granted growing monopolies to a very small group. I don't know for sure if that argument is true; no report I saw contested the monopoly charge. Given the level of our press, that lack unfortunately proves little.
